DRF Race of the Day is at Saratoga Race 10- The Diana Stake, G1 @ 1 1/8 turf. The ML favorite is the 8-Alterite @ 3-1, 2nd favorite is 4-Emollient @ 7-2. I am gonna play against both of them because the 8 is from a long lay off, and the 4 is very inconsistent. And this field are no slouch. All of them are capable of winning. I am gonna go with the 10-Tannery ridden by Lezcano trained by Goldberg. Tannery is from the sire Dylan Thomas (out of Danehill) and mare Danse Grecque (out of Sandler's Wells), so we know turf is her cup of tea. With the outside post, I think Lezcano can put her where he wants her whether it is tracking the front speed or closer behind if the pace gets too hot. This will be her third race off layoff, and she has already came back from a long lay off to win a minor stake, and came second in a G2 event. I believe she is fit and ready to roll. I think she might even go off higher than her ML of 6-1. I gonna do $20W on 10-Tannery. $10 Exacta 10- 8, 5, 9. $1Tri 10-8,5,9-8,5,9,4. GL all.

well, that didn't do well. But at least she ran the way that I thought she would, just didn't have anything left in the far turn coming for home. Oh well, till next time, GL all.

This race was so inside-out it was a joke. Anyone foresee Somali Lemonade chasing Tannery and Alterite into the first turn? Discreet Marq and Abaco were the only ones who ran their respective races. I knew I was sunk after 10 seconds seeing Tannery out on the lead and Emollient (who I didnot like) at the back. Good for Matz and co., not sure if Saez was being clever or he just happened to fall into that trip.

According to DRF results, Tannery was hard held from the start and rank early, I don't know why he was ranked. I was expecting her to sit comfortably outside of the early pace that should have included Lemonade. I guess that's horse racing for you. Better luck to us next time.

DRF Race of the Day- Race 5 the Eddie Read @ 1 1/8 turf. The 2-Summer Front is the ML favorite at 8-5 and the 6- Tom's Tribute at 2-1. On paper, Simmer Front looks like a stand out in class and in beyer figures. Today I will play against him for the top spot because I think he will be compromised by a slow pace. I think that 4-Horiontalyspeakin will set a pedestrian pace with the 1-Spring Up tracking him. I think that the 6-Tom's Tribute doesn't want to go that far (as least that's what I'm hoping). So gonna take a chance on this and hopefully will make some money. $10 Exacta 1,4/ 1,2,4. $1 tri 1,4/1,2,3,4/1,2,3,4. May take a win bet on 1-Spring Up depending on his odds.

Yeah, the 6 was the only one that I was worrying about. Just hoping for a better payout.

DRF Race of the Day is Del Mar Race 7- The Cougar II Handicap @ 1 1/2 mile dirt. With the scractches, there will be 9 horses running. The 8-Sky Kingdom is the ML favorite @ 5-2. As of now it is bet down to 4-5. Why?? What do they see in him?? I think that there is a reason why the ML is only 5-2. And now it is heavily favor, I think he is a hugely false favorite. I didn't really have time to look at the form today, but quickly glancing, I like the 2-Longview Drive more than the 8. Any one playing this race??

Thanks Getthatheadup, I did play the 2, but in a pick 4 ticket that I came up with based on my memory and ML (I didn't have the form, only the 7th race). I actually hit 3/4 on the pick 4 and the one that I missed is the race that I have the form. I actually felt pretty good about my chances of hitting that pick 4 after I passed the first two leg. LOL.

                              July 25 4:42 PM Del Mar Thoroughbred Club 5 $0.50 P4 (PWHL) 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 / 3 / 2 / 2, 9 $8.00 $0.00

The first leg: I had all
second leg: I like Tim Yakteen as a trainer and the ML seem pretty low with a low profile jock
third leg: of course I had the 2 cuz I don't think the 8 will win
fourth leg: I had the 2 which was the ML favorite and 9 which is trained by Proctor (like him a lot on turf) as he uses van dyke a lot. (but I think van dyke was involved in the spill earlier).

                              To my dismay, I had 3 out of 4, and pick 4 paid $2900 for $ 0.50.

                              Till next time, GL all.

Well the filly didn't do much. Stumbled badly at the start, then 3 wide, then 4 wide. Too much to overcome.

Onto today's DRF Race of the Day, The Whitney Handicap G1 at 1 1/8 dirt. Palace Malice is the morning line favorite @ 1-1. And rightfully so, I mean just look at his form. He has been very impressive so far this year, 4 straight wins this year since that 7th place at the Breeders Cup. His tactical speed makes him deadly. So what do we do? Single him on a pick 4? Prolly. Experts at DRF pick PM also, the horses that they pick as a possible upsets are: 8-Golden Ticket and 3-Moreno. For me, I'm gonna use the 9-Last Gunfighter. I just think he maybe at his best at this distance. 1 1/4 is definitely too long. Hopefully Castellano can pull off a miracle.

DRF Race of the Day: R10 @ Saratoga G2-The Fourstardave on turf going 1 mile. Both experts at DRF picked the 3-Jack Milton ML 5-2. In terms of Beyer speed figures, he is comparable to the ML favorite 1-Silver Max. Last two starts for Jack Milton has cracked over 100 Beyer. Definitely solid. But I think I will go against them because I don't think he is that quick in a two turn mile course and also I am not sure how the pace will be for him. I think I will go with the 2-Seek Again for two reasons. I like Bill Mott's stats in getting a horse ready for race after a short layoff and I also think that Seek Again has more tactical speed that Jack Milton. Seek Again almost beat Wise Dan in the CD Turf Classic. I also believe that he is best at 1 mile to 1 1/8. ML is 3-1 so he may go up a little. I think it is worth a shot at the win bet. My play: $20W, $5 Exacta: 2-1,4. I like the 4-Dorsett at a price also, I love that horse's turf pedigree. I don't think we have seen the best of him yet. Going put $5 WP- 4 on the 4 as well.

DRF Race of the Day: R8 @ Del Mar G2-The John C Mabee on turf going 1 1/8 mile. Experts at DRF picked the 5-Moulin de Mougin ML 8-1 and the 6-Miss Serendipity ML 5-2. I agree with both of them in which they both have a legit ability to win this one. I will add one more to their picks. I really like the 9-Cozze Up Lady ML 9-2 for two main reasons. One is that she is by Cozzene so we know she can turf. Second she has tactical speed and should up front close to the pace or even set the pace. Miss Serendipity will probably to up close as well. Hopefully, when turn for home, Cozze will have enough to go on strong. My play: $20W on 9-Cozze Up Lady, $5 Exacta: 9-2,5,6. As usual, comments and suggestions are always welcome.

DRF Race of the Day: R10 @ Saratoga-The Sword Dancer Invitational on turf going 1 1/2 mile. The experts at DRF picked: 4-Main Sequence (ML @ 2-1) and 1-O'Prado Ole (ML @ 15-1). The 4 and 7 came out of the same race finishing 1st and 2nd and earning 100 beyer. Both seemed logical to come back strong. Especially the 7 who has won at this marathon distance before while the 4 is 0 for 5 at this distance. I think that 4 may be overbet. So I am gonna go with the 6-War Dancer (ML @ 8-1). He is out of War Front (Danzig), just love his turf pedigree. And he has shown he can win at this distance. The concern maybe that McPeek has been cold at the Spa. So gonna take a small stab at this. $10 WP 6, and $5 Ex 6/1,4,7 and $0.10 Super 6,7/1,4,5,6,7/1,4,5,6,7/all. GL all.

I am giving Kid Cruz a shot today. He was closing last time they all met with the added distance today he might get it done. Bayerm gets loose on lead not sure the distance suits him, dont think anyone in here is going to let him get an easy uncontested lead someone will challenge just so he does not steal it. If playing the super should use V E Day underneath somewhere possibly come on to get up in super.

DRF Race of the Day, The Travers G1 @ Saratoga going 1 1/4 on dirt. Bayern is the ML favorite @ 2-1, follow by Wicked Strong and Tonalist. Experts at DRF liked Wicked Strong and Mr. Speaker. (DRF has a lengthy 20min video on this race, very informative). They talked about the big three 3 yo and how the others are probably not in the same level. While I do agree in a way, but I don't put as much weigh on that since none of the top 3 here are really dominate so far. So for me, the biggest question is the PACE of this race. Will Bayern get the easy lead?? Also, which one of these horses can do this classic distace?? I looked at the form over and over, and at the end of the day, I keep going back to that over 100 beyer speed figures in back to back races. Yes, he was on the lead the whole way, but I just don't think the other horses are fast enough to keep up. I think he just has a lot of natural speed and I think he improved a lot the few months. I think most will probably play against him, but I am gonna take a chance on him. $20W 2-Bayern. I think the money to be made here is the exotic wagering. I am not too thrilled about the other two big three. I like the 10-Mr Speaker, the 1-Commanding Curve, the 8-Kid Cruz and also the 4-V.E. Day to hit the board. I think I will do a trifecta: 2/1,4,8,10/1,4,8,10, 2/1,4,8,10/6,7 and 2/6,7/1,4,8,10 and a superfecta: 2/1,4,6,7,8,10/1,4,6,7,8,10/1,4,6,7,8,10

Bayerm gets loose on lead not sure the distance suits him, dont think anyone in here is going to let him get an easy uncontested lead someone will challenge just so he does not steal it. If playing the super should use V E Day underneath somewhere possibly come on to get up in super.
