Boston heads to Ottawa tonight on the second half of a B2B. They will most likely be going with Rask in net who has a 4-1 record in 5 career starts vs. the Sens. Rask has been hot lately not allowing more than 2 goals in his last 5 starts. Craig Anderson confirmed for Ottawa, who had a rough first outing after coming back from injury allowing 5 goals to Philly 3 nights ago. Although the Bruins are on a B2B, I like their chances as they are 2-0 in this situation this year, with wins coming against San Jose and Anaheim. Although they were both home wins, they had to travel back to Boston as both games were out of town the night before.

Buds in Buffalo tonight taking on Ted Nolan and the Sabres. Toronto is coming off 2 losses in a row to Boston and Minny, so I expect their best effort tonight. We are still without Bozak, Bolland and now Kadri, but I'm hoping the Leafs get it done tonight. If they don't tonight, I may have to make it up tomorrow as we have the Sabres back at the ACC tomorrow night for round 2. Jonny B. most likely between the pipes for Toronto with Ryan Miller already confirmed for Buffalo. May have a play on the under as well later.... Anybody else feeling it???

The Habs are in Columbus tonight facing a Jacket's squad coming off a rough 3-2 OT defeat last night in Boston. Montreal has lost 5 of 6, and are looking to right the ship. A few of those losses were tough ones in Minny, Colorado, Ottawa, and at home in a SO to a tough St. Louis squad. I think they will play extremely tough tonight and try to capitalize on this "lighter" opponent. Peter Budaj confirmed for the Habs (which I'm fine with as he has a 1.34 GAA, .953 S%) as they play again tomorrow at home vs. NYR. Loving the Habs tonight boys.

Jets at home tonight vs. Philly, who is playing the last game of their 3 game road trip before having 4 days off. I'm hoping they'll be kinda flat tonight playing their 3rd in 4 nights having won the first 2 of the trip, and 3 in a row. Winnipeg has been playing great hockey as well with wins in Detroit and vs. SJ and have won 3 in a row themselves. The Jets are coming off 3 days rest and I hope will pounce all over the lethargic Flyers tonight. Loving the Jets too....

Gonna be a great atmosphere in Buff tonight (season ticket holder) cause the building has been flat all year. The buzz that has been created with the new management it should be intense. Love the fact that Nolan is a no nonsense coach, going to be alot of guys playing there best tonight to get in his good books. putting a unit on game goes to OT and the under for me tonight. I can imagine it will be a great atmosphere. People are probably LOVING how they made the Ted Nolan hire. I was really considering putting half a unit on the game going to OT as well because you're right, Buffalo will be motivated and may keep it very close tonight. Nice to see somebody liking the under idea as well.

I try to let people know why I'm behind the play I am. Some days I have more time than others, but I think people get an understanding about the way I think and can place their wagers accordingly. I was happy buzzer chimed in with his opinion about the Leaf game, and I want people to do the same. It's good discussing things and possibly getting different angles on situations.

Regulation Draw on leafs game may be a good play. I think we might see buffalo play the best they have played all season long which worries me as a leafs fan. I also know that at leafs games about 1/3 of the people in buffalo cheer for the leafs which may play a small factor. I've got leafs ML even without our centers (head coach said "we are on plan F now"), but maybe we can both win our bets?

Fukkin records been slipping lately.. Boston kinda shit the bed after jumping out to that great start. Regulation bets can be a bitch some nights too. Disappointed in my Leafs but they do this shit sometimes....the injuries definitely aren't helping things either...I was fortunate enough to win a big bet on the Sharks TT O2.5 thanks to DennisGreen. Ended up hitting no problem but didn't post it because it was a tail.... So actually profited a few units on the evening bankroll wise which is what really matters. On to Saturday!

As I stated in Holdinmygroin's thread I was leaning Boston/Carolina under and Winnipeg in regulation vs. the struggling Flames. I noticed after I posted that Cam Ward is starting in goal for the Hurricanes after being injured. I'm playing Boston ML as well hoping he'll be slightly rusty and that the Bruins come out swinging looking to avenge their 3rd period collapse in Ottawa 2 days ago. I'm also thinking this will be a low scoring affair with Carolina keeping it tight defensively with their goalie playing his 1st game back, and Boston always playing a tight defensive game. GL tonight boys.

The Red Wings are back at home today after their loss on Long Island 3 days ago. They are looking to turn things around having lost 6 games in a row. They have however been hanging around with teams as the last 5 games have all been OT/SO losses. I think this is a great spot tonight to get a win as Nashville has only won once in their last 5, and have lost 4 in a row on the road. I like that Nashville has their call up Marek Mazanec starting in net again tonight as well.
I also like the Bruins again tonight although they are on the second half of a B2B. They are 2-1 on the second half of B2B's this year. Before last nights game they had 3 days rest so I don't think fatigue will be a factor for them. The Rangers have been playing better hockey, but have lost 2 of 3, and I'm just not convinced they can keep up with Boston. Will most likely be Rask vs Lundqvist so I'm liking the under in this as well.
The Sens are also a decent choice tonight IMO as they travel to Philly. Philly hasn't played since returning from their road trip 4 days ago. I'm hoping they'll be a little lethargic tonight, and Ottawa will come out wanting revenge after their 5-0 loss to the Flyers 1 week ago. Mind you it was Craig Anderson's first game back after coming back from injury...Robin Lehner is confirmed tonight for Ottawa who was playing great between the pipes during Anderson's absence. Steve Mason confirmed for Philly, so I'm also considering the under in this one as I see it being low scoring.
I'm loving my Leafers at home tonight vs. NYI. Johnny B. confirmed between the pipes while Kevin Poulin gets the nod for NY. For some reason I can see this game going over, don't ask why, just kinda a gut feeling as I see the Leafs giving up a couple but hopefully ultimately winning the game.
