For me, I see it as a value play. If you take the expected percentage of the Oilers winning this game and then calculate estimated percentage at the price being offered, you can determine whether the play is justifiable. The key is that you use this principle over the course of the season. The price being offered does not reflect the true odds of winning, but what the public's perception of the outcome to be. There are a number of sites that predict percentage of a team winning, such as Masseyratings.com, which list the Oilers as having a 42% of winning. At the price of +157, I need to win 38% of the time. At the current odds of +152, I only need to win this bet 39.68% of the time. Of course, this hinges on my being able to make similar values plays over the course of the season.

I mean stlouis is 17-4 on back to back splits last 2 years. Edm is 1-14 on winning both games last 2 years. I mean there just stats that's all it is, I also haven't been that on of late but St. Louis has really only lost 1 game of late where the advantage was in there favor. Loss to SJ and Col they didnt have a chance with probably only couple hours sleep. 5 days rest had them rusty vs chi. Chance for stl to get back at it

Minnesota is on a second game of a back to back. They played phnx team who was in a big letdown spot. First game froma hometrip and they came off a big win against canuks. The didn show up. The Ducks have been amazing so far, if it wasnt for chicago,there would be more talk about them. Hiller is in net tongiht. He needs to keep it going. If he dosnt have a goo game here the starting job will hve all but vanished. apparently its still up in there air. These 2 teams have played a bunch of unders recently, maybe a lttle fatigue catches up to Minn here.

I like the Flyers to start heating up a bit. I think with the addition of gagne maybe he brings that leadership they need. Philly has played well vs ottawa over the last 2 years and without ottawa having there big guns, they can only defend so long here. I also see ottawa coming down to earth a bit, there injuries should sstart to catch up.

Tampa@Boston Over 5.5 goals -126

This could be a back and forth with a bunch of goals today. I looked at the TB ML but with the form Bosotn is in it maybe just dead money. I have to wait till they lose once. Tb offensively should get some goals here. Bos just played against Ottawa and may be thrown off a little with TB offense to start. Both back ups are in, hopefully we can see some goals here.

Im giving this a shot, after completly crappin the bed vs philly i expect a bit of a bounce back game.
Both team can score and winnipeg has been doin well of late so i will leave wash ML alone. Hopefully Oates has his team up for this game today!

The Devils have had a few days off now so hopefully here ready to go. There in a bit of a slump but I can see them geting up for a game against a team like buffalo coming off a road trip. Buffalo will be without Vanek as well today.

Panthers@Hurricanes Hurricanes over 2.5 goals -138

The Hurricanes have done well this year, they were a little beat up for ther unsuccesful road trip, but i think they get a streak going at home. They just beat Pitt at home the other night 4-1. I see the goals to continue here, there weakness is defence. Florida still is fairly weak on D and in goal. This could be a shootout but ill give canes with the edge.

Penguins@Canadiens Peguins ML -105

Dan Bylsma and coaching staff should have them ready to go tonight. They have lost 2 straight while giving up a ton of goals.Pitt has alot of players on the team that know how to win. Montreal has been on the top for awhile now. They just beat Toronto the other night but this could be a small let down off a road trip. Mentally i just see Pit out working Motreal tonight, with Vokun having a bounce back game.

Phnx didnt show up until th 3rd period vs Minnesota the other night. expected after a road trip and a big Win over Van. They should be up for Anahiem with a rebound game from Smith. Anahiem played last night vs Minnesota. Phnx wih the slight edge here.

what about the under and/or the 1P under? both goalies are pretty solid & neither team is really scoring much for the most part. their last couple games have been 2-1 & 1-0 (nashville winning both). also obv like the +125 ML if i had to pick a side
