#913Wow what a rollercoaster day that was
Managed to get most of it back with the live bets. Hedged the Ducks bet after 2 as well so got $700ish back.
Not cool though I was on extreme tilt. Will probably take tomorrow off to recover mentally and to re-evaluate things
My "dark passenger" took over tonight that's for sureComment -

Ugly, ugly so far. Definitely not giving up, been in this situation many times before. Will just have to get back to work and grind out of it as usual. Exercise EXTREME CAUTION if you choose to tail me. I would recommend not too until I right the ship.

#921your 1st period overs are burning you. Overs are for public betters. switch to betting unders. Accounts for more than all of your losses. Switch to betting unders or stop betting the 1st period totals entirely.

I think it's more the quick action and win or loss within 30 minutes of puck drop that I am addicted too. Will try to ween myself off these a bit at a time.Comment -

#922and statistically speaking, i don't know as much with hockey, but in pretty all other major sports, the public "square" betters love favorites and they love overs. Lines are often over adjusted by a tad. Dog betters and under betters do better in long run than over betters and public favorite betters. Like i said, i don't know if it's as big of a rule in hockey as in other sports... but in the 3 other major professional sports, it's the case. You usually want to bet against the public. Public gets burnt repeatedly betting favorites and overs. I usually lean to unders more often. but like i said im not gonna tell you what to bet. It's obviously your thread and up to you. But if you'd like some constructive advice, you're getting killed on 1st period overs. If you really want the action for the 1st 20min, try to maybe bet the side in the 1st period, or the under. If you really hate betting unders, maybe try to bet the side instead of the total. Betting the side instead of the total might help you on your 1st period plays. You'd be profitable this season without the 1st period overs. You're down 1264 from just the 1st period plays. and onlyu down 1126.5 for season. If you take away the big $1,264 losses from the 1st period overs, you'd be up $137 instead of down $1,126.5. If you bet all your plays this year without the 1st period ones, you'd be getting a free check in the mail right now for $1,264
Just some constructive advice. How long are you gonna keep getting burnt on 1st period overs before you slow down?
usually the public gets burnt in sports. They get burnt particularly because they love betting favorites and they love betting overs.
Don't mean to sound like an asshole. I hate when people tell me what to do. So you can certainly do what you want. but "Slow down on the 1st period overs" is my advice. If you like it, take it. If not, discard it.Comment -

#923Unders ONLY if you're not gonna watch the game. That's my rule. They're SO boring.
Just blindly throw money at the DAL U1.5 (1st) (unless they're playing tampa/wpg/pens/chi/sjs/etc)Comment -

You know what the call a quarter pounder with cheese in France?
A Royal.
I was watching the bruins on friday night and the NESN in-game commentator said that. He said, "You know what they call a quarter pounder with cheese in France? A Royal. A little pulp fiction quote." It was hilarious i was like hell yea the bruins announcer said that in the middle of the game? he's cool as shit.

You think it's boring, but i think there is nothing sexier than cashing a ticket.
I love watching and just staring at the clock counting down going "tick, tick, tick"
With each "tick, tick, tick"... in my head i hear, "cha-ching, cha-ching, cha-ching"Comment -

The NHL has far less public burials IMO than other major sports.
There's a lot more variance in hockey for sure with favorites losing but public over bets don't always go under from my experience.
Anyways thanks for the advice/encouragement boysComment -

#933They were getting out worked bad from what I saw. It's like they expected the goals to just come to them without fighting for them.
Their PP was an absolute mess. No one was assertive out there at all. Kept trying to get video game goals. Perfect example late second on the PP Malkin drives hard to the goal yet passes to Kunitz from the crease pretty much who wasn't expecting a pass at all. When Malkin's on his game he doesn't hesitate and roofs it there.
Teams heart is the big problem right now. Guess they're not motivated enough yet to stomp teams like they usually do.Comment -

If every game ended in a shootout they'd win every time. Team of all-stars with incredible talent, they're just not communicating right now, and for some reason they don't have the heart we usually see from them.Comment -
