Severstal Cherepovec 3W - 3OTL - 2L = 12 points
Lokomotiv Yaroslavl 4W - 2OTW - 2L = 16 points

Severstal has home ice, where they have not had any success (2OTL) and Lokomotiv has played very well on the road (2W, 1OTW, 1L). I think Lokomotiv takes this in regulation, but am taking the ML for safety.

Lokomotiv has lost their last 2 games - I'm guessing it may be because of chemistry / integration. I like their additions & see them taking this game if they have Varlamov in net.
G - Semyon Varlamov Washington 26W, 24L, 3T + 2.59 GAA + .913 SV%
C - Artem Anisimov Rangers 16G, 20A in 79 games
D - Dmitry Kulikov Florida 4G, 24A in 58 games

Severstallone addition from the NHL, F - Andrei Loktionov LA 3G, 4A in 39 games, is young & still unproven (IMHO).

Atlant Mytishi 4W - 2OTW - 2OTL - 1L = 18 points

This game looks like a gift to me - so much so that it may be a trap --you have been warned--. Atlant is a superior team with double the points of Vityaz and has only added 1 previous NHL'er, G - Anton Khudobin, who has put up solid #'s (this year 2-0-1 with 2.09 GAA + .947 SV% & last year 21-19-3 2.61 GAA + .919 SV%). I see a team that's playing very well & has good chemistry.

Vityaz Chekhov is a team that seems to be a mess & from what I have read, they can be compared to the Charlestown Chiefs (Slapshot). You should always beware of biting dogs, but I believe that Atlant is just too powerful for these guys. they have not added any pond-jumpers from the NHL. For those with nerves of steel, try the alternate handicap of Atlant Mytishi - 1.5 (+170 Bet365).

Slavia Prague 2w - 4L = 6 points

Slavia has 2 more points but has played an additional game - also, they have not added any additional firepower from the NHL. Pardubice has added significant firepower from the NHL, most notably C - David Krejci Boston 23G, 39A in 79 games. They also added RW - Ales Hemsky Edmonton 10G, 26A in 69 games, D - Jakub Kindl Detroit 1G, 12A in 55 games. These additions have not provided any wins yet, but I feel that home ice & the additions against another struggling team are a great combo for success.

Litvinov 3W - 2L = 9 points

I'm going out on a limb here & as there are no 'hedge' NHL'ers on either of these teams. I'm basing my choice on raw data.

Both teams have played 5 games & Litvinov is clearly the better team with 3 wins vs 1 win + 1 OTW. on the scoring front, litinov has pocketed 14 93 more than Karlovy) and has allowed 13 while Karlovy has allowed 18.

Karlovy is 50% with home ice adv while Litvinov is 50% in away games. All in all, I love the +135 odds for Litvinov & think they can do it.

They may be getting taken to the cleaners with the KHL... There has been a major influx of players & the financially sound clubs are feasting.

Sweden should have a big increase by the end of next week because the courts struck down the law holding teams back.

They're the 2nd best team in the conf - behind HC Lev---but they have played 1 less game. Considering they are playing the 2nd worst team in the league, this game should be a cakewaik.

------I say should only because I'm always concerned about 'external forces' in Russia having a say in who wins the match. There have been some pretty shady things that happen over there so don't go too crazy. If the game is played straight-up this should be an easy win.

I was always under the assumption that ML included the entire playing time as well as the shoot-outs...

ML is betting for the outright winner. I will have to look at the rules for Bet365 to see what they say because it seems hokey... The odds are the poorest...

ml doesnt include shout outs for hockey on bet365 coz they are basterds. but hey they are better than any AUS books.

I really like this game & think that Sibir will probably win by a couple of goals but am taking the ML as I feel the odds are great for a matchup like this.

Our other KHL game, 7:00am HC Yugra vs Sibir Novosibirsk ML (-105 Bet365) 3 units, ended in a push. Sibir was too powerful for Yurga & ended up taking the win in a shootout - unfortunately Bet365 grades that as a push...

Now we have our 3 from Finland starting up- I feel very good about these games. Let's get that $$$!
