Almost pulled it off. Habs lead 4-3 until Lightning tied it with 20 seconds left in regulation. Big 3 point night for Brayden Point. He scored Tampa Bay's first 2 goals, assisted on the tying goal and won the draw on the overtime winner, scored just 36 seconds in to added time.

#463Weather, or in particular a spell of "severe cold" in Minnesota, is threatening the viability of the outdoor showcase between the St. Louis Blues and Minnesota Wild at Target Field, though it is expected that the New Year's Day event will go ahead as planned.
Should it, the 2022 Winter Classic is expected to become the coldest outdoor event on record in league history with a low of minus-15 degrees Fahrenheit anticipated for Saturday.
For those north of the border, that equates to minus-26 degrees Celsius.[quote=jjgold;5683305]I win again like usual

#469Things went from bad to worse for the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday, as the slumping team lost its captain to pandemic protocol.
Connor McDavid missed practice in Toronto after he tested positive for COVID-19.
Centre Derek Ryan also tested positive. Both were being tested again.[quote=jjgold;5683305]I win again like usual

#471Hamilton out for Devils with broken jaw, no timeline for return
Dougie Hamilton is out for the New Jersey Devils because of a broken jaw. There is no timeline for the return of the defenseman, who will have surgery Wednesday.
Hamilton will be placed on injured reserve retroactive to Sunday, when he was taken to a hospital after getting hit with a deflected puck 7:05 into the first period of a 4-3 overtime win at the Washington Capitals.

#480Evander Kane's tumultuous run with the San Jose Sharks is over. The Sharks placed Kane on unconditional waivers Saturday with the intent to terminate the rest of his seven-year, $49 million deal.
San Jose said it made the decision because Kane breached the NHL standard player contract and the AHL's COVID-19 protocols. Kane joined the Sharks' AHL team, the Barracuda, late November after serving a 21-game suspension for submitting a fake vaccine card to the NHL.[quote=jjgold;5683305]I win again like usual
