Thatcher Demko is expected to be the starting goalie for Vancouver tonight in Arizona. He was placed on the injured list in early-Feb with a sprained knee. Demko was on the bench and dressed as the backup goalie on Monday in Anaheim.....I missed last night's game in Denver but assume he was also dressed. Markstrom was great in net both games, but with the back-to-back road game tonight it appears they are going with Demko.

Jamie Benn remains out for Dallas tonight. They need him back if they're going to make the playoffs.

Buffalo goalie Ullmark has looked really bad in his starts since about Feb.15. Carter Hutton had a pre-game injury several days ago, so the Sabres are going with Ullmark, although neither Buffalo goalie has been great since early December. This is the 3rd game in 4 nights for Buffalo. Edmonton meantime is playing their 5th and last game of the current road trip, in which they've gone 2-1-1 against pretty tough competition, besides Ottawa. In the game Saturday, they went into Columbus and shut them out 4-0 score, a game in which Columbus really needed and were heavily favored.

that Stars team has trouble scoring, but lately so do the St. Louis Blues, having scored only 1-or-2 goals in each of their past 6 games. They are by far the fresher team tonight in Anaheim, but I've played the Overtime prop at +295 odds for the game with a goalie matchup of Binnington vs. Gibson.

ironically, this Blues at Ducks game, with two teams who have been playing low-scoring games, with both very good goalies, is tied 3-3 score at end of the 2p.

Toronto at Vancouver already went to OT. Maple Leafs scored 2 goals in 1p, but nothing else and then Vancouver scored 2 in the 3p to force Overtime, then won it towards the end of the 5-minute OT.

Elias Pettersson, the Vancouver rookie, didn't get any points tonight and he has sure been in a slump which is certainly frustrating for fantasy owners. Has 1 goal in the last 11 games.

They gave up 2 goals in the last minute .

Washington got it done in one of tonight's early games, but didn't make it real easy. The 3-0 score was more because New Jersey just didn't have the offensive firepower to compete, although they gave great effort especially on defense. The refs called a ton of penalties against both sides. Side note: with the shutout, Braden Holtby ties the Capitals franchise record for goalie shutouts, it was his 35th.

                                                in Dallas. So strange.

Mostly their AHL roster, although a couple regular players came back from the injured list. Taylor Hall hasn't tho, remember he was the league MVP last year....they've missed having him since December this season.

Quinn Hughes, selected seventh overall by the Vancouver Canucks in the 2018 NHL draft, signed a three-year entry-level contract with the club on Sunday.

He is expected to join the team in Vancouver on Tuesday.

The 19-year-old defenseman saw his sophomore season at the University of Michigan come to an end Saturday when the Wolverines were swept out of the Big Ten tournament by the University of Minnesota.

Hughes led Michigan in scoring in 2018-19 with 33 points in 32 games and finished his NCAA career with 62 points in 69 games. As a freshman, he was a key part of the Wolverines squad that reached the 2018 men's Frozen Four.

Canucks will be forced to avoid playing Hughes more than 10-games this season, because he would then become exposed to the next Expansion Draft when the new Seattle team comes into the league in a couple years.
