Jack Eichel left the game after skating four shifts for 2:42 in the first period. Eichel had been described as a game-time decision after not practicing on Sunday. Housley expressed optimism regarding his captain's status afterward.
"I don't think it's going to keep him out too long," he said. "It's just one of those things I think he sort of aggravated something up in his upper body."
