Looking for a few opinions if you guys dont mind. What would you say about this trade. For record I am not involved in this trade but have been asked for my vote.

      5x5 League

Team A (Right in contention, in big battle with 3 other teams for top spots)
Gets: Miguel Cabrera, Tyler Ross, Dee Gordon and Brian McCann

Team B (8th place, not really in contention)
Gets: Hanley Ramirez, Shin Soo Choo, Jordan Zimmerman, Billy Butler

Couple guys yelling its a garbage trade and they want/need my vote for veto. If it was beginning of the year I probably wouldnt say anythning but at this time it does look a little junk to me.

If I'm the GM of Team A, I'm accepting this trade without hesitation!

So it's safe to say that Oakland and Detroit now have the best starting staffs in the American League?

Team A getting a stud like Cabrera and a quality player to fill the Catcher position with McCann is really unfair.

Especially this late in the season and the position hes in..... VETO !!!

Currently, the Oakland Athletics are the favorites to win the World Series.

The LA Dodgers are a close second followed by the Detroit Tigers and then the LA Angels...

Not a good debut for Cabrera with the Nationals.

He went 0-4 with a K and was 0-2 w/RISP as Washington lost to the Phillies, 2-1.

Mike Aviles and Jose Ramirez are expected to split time at SS for Cleveland.

^The fact the Angels were able to get anybody in exchange for Frieri is amazing. He is awful. It could be worse though. The Reds throw JJ Hoover out in tied games and he shockingly is 1-8. Not a mistake.

When ever I see him in the bullpen warming up... I just want to throw-up!!!

By the way...He was born in Pittsburgh, Maybe the Reds could trade him to the Pirates..

Jackie Bradley, Jr. is now 0 for his last 24 AB. He's gotta be approaching the record?

the wikipedia entry for Bill Bergen lists his hitless streak at 46 at bats, which it says is "the longest streak ever by a position player". If you want to include pitchers in this question, then the same entry also lists Bob Buhl as having a hitless streak of 88 at bats with the Braves/Cubs, including an 0-70 record in the entire 1962 season... I'm not sure if the other 18 were at the end of the 1961 season or the start of the 1963 season. Sure lucky for him he could pitch!

You have to be an excellent defensive player to-go-to that many at-bats without a hit.

                                                          5x5 League

Team A (Right in contention, in big battle with 3 other teams for top spots)
Gets: Miguel Cabrera, Tyler Ross, Dee Gordon and Brian McCann

Couple guys yelling its a garbage trade and they want/need my vote for veto. If it was beginning of the year I probably wouldnt say anythning but at this time it does look a little junk to me.
                                                          Is it a keeper league?
