What am I missing here? Yes, TS was a FCS team. Yes, TS sucked last year against lousy FCS competition. But they are now in the FBS and will want to prove themselves. They now have Dennis Franchione at head coach who knows how to prepare teams on game openers. They return a pretty good offense with 2 good RB's, dual QB's and quality receivers. Franchione should be able to dial up plays for these guys. Marcus Curry can run and catch out of the backfield which causes problems for defenses. Franks can hit for large gains with his speed. They also have 2 good TE's that can run block and catch in the seams.

Houston has a new coaching staff, a QB who hasn't started in a couple years, and new receivers. Houston should take a little step back in overall talent from the past 2 years. The defense should be much better but the offense shouldn't be as potent. The defense is moving to the 4-3 which should help against the run where they were horrible last year but they could have a few missed assignements the first few games. The defensive backs are solid and physical but expect a few mistakes this early. I have to think TS can put up a few scores. If they put up 20+ it will be hard for Houston to cover this large line.

I don't see Houston holding this team to 12 points which all the weapons they have on offense.

Wow, this may be a sucker bet but I see tremendous value. Houston should win by a couple scores but throw in a few turnovers and anything can happen. We just got a lot of rain in the area and isolated showers are expected. Robertson field may be wet and slippery which should help keep the scoring down.

Talk me out of not going All In on this one? This line seems off by about 10 points? That's the only thing that's scaring me from betting the farm.

A lot of rain expected in UK/UL game but I think it will ease up shortly and sportsgrass drains well. Wind is more important to the passing game than rain anyway. 2 teams that want to establish the run screams under but turnovers and possible short fields means points. Plus the possibility of overtime.
