#39This is true! You make a very good point. I mean, the BCS school has everything to lose playing a non-BCS school in a weak conference. Anything could happen. Heck, both Kansas and Ole Miss lost yesterday. Oh, and of course, Michigan was embarrassed by Appalachian State.Comment -

#43You can only beat the teams you face.
Boise has done well at that...........tough to call.
Broncos D is decent......great running backs eat 'em up.

#46I stand corrected about the game being in Blacksburg. But Fed Ex field is closer to there than Boise which means even more VT fans in that stadium. It will be a treat to see so early in the season.Comment -

#47Boise, IMO, will win the game, and win the BCS Championship. I Believe they are a top notch team, have sooo many returning players. I don't see how anyone can beat them. VT is a good 2nd rate team. Like everyone else compared to them. Hell, Texas would have beaten BAMA if not for Cody gettin hurt in BCS Game! Boise would have beaten Bama last year! Bama suspect even against Boise. With or without Ingram. I truly believe Boise is head and shoulders above the rest of the NCAAF world this year. Boise wins by 10...... at least. You don't have to believe Boise is any good because they are in PoDunk, Idaho. Hell, I live in CALI... IDAHO??? WTF??? VT loses, even if it's more fan based for them at a nuetral site. Let's rock!!! Lose your money with VT! Boise, BCS CHAMPS. Watch. Unless they get screwed again.Comment -

Who is Cody and that is just your opinion that Bama would have lost if COLT had not got hurt. Bama suspect against Boise, how do you figure that?Comment -

#50Boise will kick everyone's ass this year. I don't care who they are. Even FSU with their "tough" schedule. Tuff... Smuff.... FSU played a real tough one this week BTW. Samford?? Who? Oh, must be new to the Conference. Loser athletic directors showing how good their schools are by playing practical High School teams. Boise will win National Championship this year. Take that one to the Bookie!!!Comment -

It's Boise we are concerned about.
They only have to get UP for a few games.....not like BCS teams.
I think they will be up for this as will VTComment -

Btw, if you think we're the only team to play a cupcake school (Samford) in our first week then you really need to brush up on your college football. We all do it. We took Ponder out at the half, btw.
FYI, since you asked... Samford University is a college where our former coach, Bobby Bowden, not only attended, but began his coaching career and served as an assistant coach and later head football coach. Oh, and our current coach, Jimbo Fisher, also attended Samford. That's your lesson for today.Comment -

Anyway, I already addressed this in my post above. If Boise State played a difficult schedule throughout the entire season then they would deserve all the credit you are giving them. If they "only" play 1 or 2 good teams and win, great, but that does not automatically qualify them as a "big dawg" as you would day.
Like I mentioned earlier, take a look at FSU's schedule, better yet, take a look a Miami's (FL) schedule which is slightly more difficult than ours'. Be honest, do you honestly believe Boise can survive if they had either of these schedules? Let me answer that for you, "no, absolutely not."
Let's just move on and get back to the game tomorrow night.Comment -

#64if Boise was in the SEC they are a 7-5 team.
This is Boise's biggest game ever, if they lose. The BCS is done for them, if they win they have a chance at the title game. I don't think they get in even if undefeated and you have a 1 loss Alabama or Ohio StateComment -

#65I don't want to get into the debate of schedule and who has what on the schedule,
but I do believe most of FBS schools avoid playing Boise. Simply b/c they don't want to play a home and home deal with them. They don't want to play on the Blue turf against that team.
Ask Oregon how that turned outComment -

#66Dude I tried to ignore you but you keep talking crap. No one is talking about FSU schedule or Miami but you!
It's better to win against 2 ranked teams rather than losing against 6 "good teams." playing a tougher schedule does not make you a better team dude. playing a tougher schdule and losing but winning against jacksonville state, mayrland, and NC state does nothing for FSU. and it's not just that Boise st wins, they win convincingly
answers to your question, can't believe I'm entertaining it but ... only time will tell if Boise St. can handle a schedule like FSU but I'm pretty sure they can.Comment -
