we are going to get an inflated line on Pearson.
He won at 145, plus his previous striking clinic over Siver, plus Sivers drop in weight

per UFC:
Lil Nog is injured (knee). Alexander Gustaffson will now fight Thiago Silva in Sweden as the main event of UFC on FUEL 3.

More interesting match-up for me. Makes sense tht he'd step in as he's been sparring a lot with Sakara. Ruins my Gustaffsson bet at -166 tho

Damn, that sucks. Didn't realize you had that good of a number.
Should be a much easier fight for Gustaf imo.

Yee, was pretty good and could of got it alot better, opened at -130 or something on unibet.
Dunno if it will be easier, at least Thiago offers more of a takedown threat than Lil Nog

True, but I was expecting Nog's counter punching ability to really bother him. Thiago is more likely to get picked off by Gustaf from the outside, imo. If Thiago shows up with that Brandon Vera strength then maybe I'd be worried, he.

What if Thiago starts slapping the mauler and playing the drums on him like he did with the truth? I just hope Thiago can keep a beat otherwise our ears might be mauled.

They only opened because they are a Swedish company and event is in Sweden. If a Swedish or Scandinavian fighter is fighting on any card they'll also bring his odds out early like with Kuivanen

Like Sakara (+310), too good of a price on Sakara if it's going to be contested on the feet. Maybe Stann will have a lame Jackson gameplan that makes what should be a great slugfest into ZZzzzZZzz (see Guillard/Stephens), but hard not to like Sakara at those prices.
I'll wait till lines open but might be liking Thiago here at the likely dog odds. He's like Gustaffson in a lot of way, just ruthless power & agression. I was overly impressed w/ Silva's ability to take down Vera, who's really no slouch in that department, a lot of the bjj style ones. Maybe I'll need to review more footage but Gustaffson looked good w/ TDD vs Phil Davis, but Te Huna got a nice trip/toss w/ relative ease. And it's easy to forget that Silva's mount is pretty rock solid. There's a lot of hype behind the Mauler and hope I can capitalize on it. Just from a fan perspective, really like this matchup.
Pearson makes sense, his gameplan vs Siver was pretty perfect. Doubt he'll be available at a good price though.

When judging Jackson and his "boring" gameplans, also see Guillard's KO over Dunham, Condit's KOs over Stun Gun and Dan Hardy, all of Shane Carwin's KOs, etc.. As for Sakara, I do think +310 may be good enough odds for a SMALL play. Sakara may be undervalued here and Stann overvalued, more so the latter. Stann's KO over Leben was surprising and impressive, but Leben isn't exactly an unstoppable force, and Santiago is barely a top 20 MW. Stann may have knocked another notable striker in Leben but Sakara's boxing is much sharper and technical. I would hesitate to lay so much juice on Stann when the striking advantage MAY go slightly to Sakara in this matchup. Sakara has been battling injuries over these last few years, but training seems to be going well at ATT this time around, with Thiago Silva as a notable training partner. Considering Sakara's boxing skills and Stann's respect for said skills, we can see Jackson develop a wrestling based gameplan for this fight, possibly working for submissions at top position (we'll see what Stann by submission props are like also).

Legionarius will be handily defeated. How he is defeated, however, is up to Captain America. What's the line on Captain America by Final Justice KO?

Still like Gus against Silva. Silvas biggest weapon in this matchup is his top control and GnP. Gus has proven in his fight against Te Huna that he can handle an opponent with said skillset. Gus is efficient off his back, and seems to get the better of scrambles and struggles for position. While Gustaffson may prefer to strike with the much less, much more agressive Silva, Gustaffson has the capacity to and won't hesitate to seize opportunities on the ground. We saw how quickly Gustaffson sank in the hooks and took a gassed Te Huna's back, delivered GnP and eventually submitted him. Also, we can take Silva's potential ring rust, the effect of getting off the peds, and potential cardio issues into effect.

You mean against the guy that lost to Matt Riddle? lol
Maguire should dominate DJ, but DJ could steal it with a triangle or something... I was originally siding DJ, but am on Maguire, too, myself-- would have to see the line to be sure, though... but I'm liking Maguire's chances a lot better...

Macquire has very good submission defense and a very strong top game. Also, Maquire doesn't seem content in his opponent's guard and works for dominant positions on the ground. I have a tough time seeing Johnson catch Maquire, as Maquire seems like the one who will be doing the catching. Maquire by RNC seems reasonable.
