Could actually see Holloway stopping Edgar here, tbh. Max may not have real one-punch-KO power but I think his volume and relentlessness will take their toll on Frankie the longer the fight goes on. There's also going to be a fairly significant size & reach difference.

Another factor to consider IMO will be Max looking to make a real statement after getting roughed up by Poirier at LW. I think he'll be looking to prove he's untouchable at FW and try to work his way towards another fight at LW in the not too distant future. Of course, Frankie will be very motivated too now he's finally gotten his title shot.

Gun to head, I'm predicting a 4th round doctor stoppage due to accumulated damage.

One thing's for sure, this is gonna be great!

I just feel both have value. Edgar has the stamina and grit, but I give him a 37% chance of winning or so. With Felicia Spencer, I feel if she survives the pressure that Cyborg puts on her, she has a chance if she can take her to the ground. I gave her a 30% chance of winning. I don't favour Edgar or Spencer, just see value on them at their price.

A women's flyweight bout between Lauren Murphy and Mara Romero Borella was initially scheduled for this event. However on June 20, promotion officials elected to move the bout a week later at UFC on ESPN 5.^[6]

i think Cyborg is going to absolutely destroy Spencer here... i dont like her standup speed at all , looks like shes throwing in slow motion in her highlights.. Cyborg going to be too fast and powerful for her

only thing shes got in this fight is some size and ground game if she can grind Cyborg against the cage and make it an ugly decision fight but i dont see it happening ... odds are tough though... opening at -415 looked nice but -600 or more is tough

I was already impressed that Max can make weight at 145 but after seeing all the sugary treats he buys (from 7.20 on video) I'm officially gobsmacked he can even get near 145.

Reminds me of a British boxer from a few years back called Ricky Hatton who used to absolutely balloon between fights and became affectionately known as Ricky Fatton. Never could quite believe how he'd go from looking like a darts player, all beer gut and flabby flesh rolls to absolutely shredded within a few weeks. Can't be good for the body long term though.
