I see it being no different here as he's a one trick pony and almost 40 years old now.. Oddsmakers gotta take that into consideration..Comment -

#1053We'll see Hugo?? Maia has never been the favorite in fights if my memory serves me right. Please correct me if I'm wrong in saying that.. I remember winning big money every time on Maia off the straight wins lately..

At WW he was a big favorite against Brown and Yakovlev and a moderate favorite against Magny and Shields. But you're right, for the most part Maia comes in as a Pick 'Em or slight dog.Comment -

#1057id like masvidal for +150 or better id probably be on him , 3 rounds is the key ... Maia been a beast lately though hard to keep fading him unless he fights a guy i really think can beat him ( tyron woodley ) or GSP mainly
and ya im seeing kelly +165/180 range, hopefully the prediction comes true now haha , im thinking rashad gets a nice decision win hereComment -

GSP would be riskier since he doesnt have the power like Woodley but i think hed do basically the same but pepper him from the outside and start to take Maia down once he got gassed late rounds or hold him against the cage , some sort of solid gameplan to keep Maia neutralizedComment -

#1060imo tyron woodley would absolutely starch maia round 1 or 2... Maia isnt taking him down and standing up hell get wrecked, Maias only solid weapon standing up is his kicks and if he did that with Tyron hell be countered like Marquardt did to him imo, Tyrons power would be to much to deal with for Maia imo hed look like a fish outta water after his first few takedowns got stuffed

#1063why do ppl always say this? that tap to diaz and everyone acts like he is the worst on the ground, that was gassing, he actually landed a beautiful sweep on diaz in round 1. and kept it on feet after multiple attempts by diaz in the 2nd bout. he fought a lot of wrestlers early and defended well as well as of course alvarez. his strikes completely took eddie out of his gameplan but eddie still went for it plenty. everything changes when you get hit though. Mendes fight is the only time he got tossed but his acl was more than half torn. i do agree though khabib is on a different level and i think we see how different that is saturday vs ferguson

#1064yup people always love to hate mcgregor , hes actually a solid grappler.. He man handled Max Holloway on the ground with a torn ACL like nothing, he was getting handled by Mendes on the ground but he was mainly just trying to tire him out and he reversed Mendes submission attempt , got up and tko'd him , he swept Diaz in the first fight and landed ontop in a scramble ...
He got exposed one time in the UFC on the ground mainly and thats when he was choked out by Diaz , but he was basically out on the feet , he tried to do the same scramble as he did against Mendes... but Diaz is probably 40 lbs bigger and while being half knocked out its difficult to pull that off, even an elite jiu jitsu guy could be out on the feet and get tapped out right after to look amateur ... maybe if he was at his full witts and that exact scenario happened id give more credit to the claim but doesnt make sense to me .... Especially rolling with Gunnar Nelson for years and now Dillon Danis guy definitely has a solid ground game but his striking is just so good thats all people see in the end and people will continue to hate
regardless Khabib is a much different level wrestler and Mcgregor would have to land something in the start of the rounds to get a finish i doubt he could win a decision there, but 5 rounds and every round starts standing i think hed have a solid shot... I could see either guy winning both have paths to victory , but with all khabibs injuries and Mcgregors momentum id lean him slightlyComment -

Now Masvidal doesn't have the greatest take down defense but it's good, Masvidal is good on the ground and with scrambles and has been able to get back to his feet in the past when taken down.. So it's not gonna be easy for Maia..
Like I said I'm gonna hedge with the Masvidal KO prop just for insurance against the straight if the odds are good enough to that.. Masvidal is the real deal right now..Comment -

#1079even GSP of old this is a tough fight for 5 rounds...
Bisping super good at getting off his back and will have a big size advantage
if he gets to +140 or more might take a stab at bisping , tough fight to call though especially with such a long layoff and bisping being activeComment -

#1082I can't stand GSP. Is he a middleweight now? Probably not... just sees an opportunity now that Bisping has the title. All that time away and he wasn't itching to get back in there to fight Silva, Weidman, or Rockhold. Then one day Bisping KO's an overconfident Rockhold and GSP picks up the phone right away? Come on man. I doubt it'll happen but I would love to see Bisping KO GSP just the same.Comment -

#1083Never liked gsp. He cheats my boy bj penn and has always been a boring fighter. Now he takes the easiest fight possible. Knows he can't beat mcgoat Woodley wonderboy or even Silva. I think he retires again after this fight. Even if he wins there's no way he fights any top contenders like Romero rockhold or jacareComment -
