I really like the Tigers on opening day. I also lean Milwaukee and the Nationals. No big action -- it's only opening day. However, I have no problem putting one unit on each game. I see you also like Milwaukee for the same reason as me (Gallardo). I also think the Reds will regress this year.

What are your thoughts about the Tigers over the Yanks and Nationals over the Braves?

Also, I really appreciate your NBA thoughts in your NBA thread. I assume you are not a full time capper (correct me if I'm wrong) and also work a full time job. How do you balance your work, capping and family obligations?

I have always bet sports and generally won. However, I didn't decide to try sports investing as a serious money-making venture until about eight months ago for the end of baseball and the start of college football, NFL and NBA. I have been successful so far capping and setting my own lines. However, on days like yesterday where there are 13 NBA games and the upcoming baseball slate to cap, it gets hard to meet my regular work obligations and family stuff. Just wondering how you juggle everything and if you had any tips.

    Thanks!

its so early, i will probably just my play my A4's and maybe some other umpire trend stats from last year. i think its good when a guy had a hot spring, but a cold spring could have been attributed to trying a new pitch.

i work full time - takes me an hour each day maybe to go through the games. i'm def not a professional, so im not sure what tips i can give if you really want to spend hours each day doing this.

i think the reds will be really good again. they have a very nice bullpen to go along with that hitting. problem is, no true ace.

i changed my mind, and think the a's will win the AL West. They look like the giants - all pitching, no hitting.

Like your thread a lot Dex, I tailed a couple of the Autobets last year and cashed Good luck this season, very interested in the A4 angle. BTW, do you have a specific site you check starting Umps?

On another note, what are your thoughts on Brewers today versus Reds?

    Thx.

I use MLB.com. about 30-60 minutes before first pitch, the "boxscore" tab should appear. In there, you will see the umpires. For a series, whoever is the 1st base ump is the home plate ump next game.

i just played milw for 1u

Here is my fantasy baseball team (12 team league) - pitchers are very important in this hth points league. CG's/SO's are big, and hitters who K's get -1. No categories, just all points.

    2B: D. Pedroia
    3B: S. Rolen/I. Stewart
    SS: R. Furcal/R. Brignac
    C: B. Posey/C. Ianetta
    OF: A. Rios, J. Pierre, D. Young/R. Davis
    DH: A. Huff
    SP: C. Lee, J. Verlander, S. Marcum, M. Bumgarner, E. Santana/E. Bedard, D. Holland, K. McClellan, H. Bailey
    Closers: K-Rod, F. Francisco/J. Rauch
