He's a bum. I don't need any of your advanced stats to tell me otherwise. I don't have a "scouting eye" -- it's just my opinion, and if you don't like it, sorry. The guy is a goofball pitching for a great team/offense. Put him on the Cubs or Pads and it'd be even more evident. He sure as hell shouldn't ever be -230 vs. anyone.

Defending him after he just gave up 8 earned to the Mariners in less than 2 innings isn't exactly convincing LTA.

Yea...I drafted Billingsley on my Fantasy team and thru the first 2 weeks I thought I got a steal then 2 weeks after that I dropped him. The line on that game just smells fishy.

I think the line's about right, given Greinke's struggles on the road.

Brewers have been much more patient at the plate lately, which typically spells doom for a cat like Billingsley. Has + stuff but is either too stupid or overweight to get it right. Watching him pitch drives you batshit crazy.

Anyone can have an opinion and even think the sky is pink, but that does not make that person right. In my opinion, your statement that he is a bum is just as irrational as thinking the sky is pink considering that the facts say otherwise. I'm not talking about wins or losses so his team makes no difference. I am talking about fielding independent variables, which have been proven to be an accurate predictor of future success and pursuant to which he is in the top 1/3 of lefty starters. Personally, I think he is a goofy dude as well and a bit of a free spirit. However, I can think of 75+ guys that are much worse and more worthy of being called a bum. Perhaps that's just "semantics" though.....

wow - sounds to me like he burnt you on a bet or something. i can assure you that if you put a lefty like him in petco, you would be looking at a sub 3.50 era now, and high 2's, low 3's in his prime - yes, he is not even in his prime yet.
