it was a toss-up between ML and under. i like both and don't want to play both. Astros bats been hot and played a lot of high-scoring games, plus both defenses are truly shitty. watching Kerwin Danley put the squeeze on in Balty isn't helping. still iike it to go under.

this may be one of many occasions when i out-think myself. we'll see.

im with you on that, rarely do i play a total and side of same gm in bases (more in fb when i feel they correlate nicely).. hell it hard enough to get one right.. didnt have much interest in this series but if you say there more than a run to play w ill take that (most days,lol)..

yep, i certainly learned that from you. agree re: football correlation. interleague caused me to lose some confidence in totals. i still think that totals are the best plays in bases, but i will admit that i probably give too much weight to umps. the games are young, but i'll say this - if the games go under and i passed because "both umps have had a lot of over so far this season" i'll be a little embarrassed to see that in print as it's not very sound logic.

yep, i certainly learned that from you. agree re: football correlation. interleague caused me to lose some confidence in totals. i still think that totals are the best plays in bases, but i will admit that i probably give too much weight to umps. the games are young, but i'll say this - if the games go under and i passed because "both umps have had a lot of over so far this season" i'll be a little embarrassed to see that in print as it's not very sound logic.

interleague just different, dont let it faze you your totals have been rock solid since i can remember...i had to tell our friend Hollywood Beaker over at ctg 1 day "sometimes you just gotta say fukk the ump, even if he a proven guy one way or the other (by that i mean k % more than actual record wise) doesnt mean there will not be variation or more to the point that ump cant stop the inevitable" ...think it was a bravos/bosox gm, 1st thing i saw when i got home was his post saying he loved everything about the over but it was a tried and true "under ump", gm flew over..

Interesting that the Pinny TT is 4 for the Cards being juiced on the under. My rec. book has a 4.5 with the same odds. That typically means go with what Pinny is telling you, but again, who knows with Anibal.

well heat check denied as cards played this gm much like rest of series, one good inning at the plate and a bunch of crap the rest...2 sweeps in a row was way to much to ask from a team i traditional fade at every sweep opportunity..on another note it is way past due to trash the tyler greene experiment, i know this is the GM's baby (one of his 1st picks i believe) but at some point you gotta admit it isnt working out, not only does he not hit but the dude takes terrible abs constantly (not sure ive ever seen a guy check swing strike on 3 str8,lol), he isnt some youngster with potential any longer he is a proven scrub who is taking at bats away from either shoemaker or descalso both of whom if nothing else battle and give solid abs consistently...Matheny is obviously a hand picked puppet, as much as i used to bang on TLR i know he wouldnt have some gm forcing him to play a bum...


Biff as i said i trust when you say we have more than a run to work with, i know you didnt play it but nice call on hou under anyways..glad that stros finished it out and you got the W on the side!

It's not 100% Banker, and they aren't always obvious (i.e., a side or a game total). But if you did just concentrate on stuff like this, you'd be up big. I just don't have the patience or discipline to focus only on these types of plays.

prob a rather "square" total but i played nats/rox ov 11 last night...Coors has been yielding runs like crazy (really cant ever argue with a over here right now) , almost for sure we see col pen for 3-4 innings, Jackson while rock solid this yr has never been a model of consistency and has been tagged at Coors a time or 2 (dont think the way he pitches is conducive for success in that park), would think after getting beat down a few gms in a row col brings their bats to this one..
