The FLORIDA GAME

1) Ppl said the same thing about that kid Bass that pitched for SD 2 nights ago in colorado

Came up from double AA with bad numbers and held colorado to one run..in coors field !!

Alot of the no name kid pitchers you never heard of come up and suprise ppL

2) It was a 2* play !!

3) If you guys are old enuff to be gambling you are old enough to make your own decisions. If you like the opposite of what I post..BET THE OPPOSITE !!! LOL...No gun to anyones head here

He also gave up about 5 hits and 5 walks in about 5 innings, I believe. The Rocks just couldn't get across the plate. Cobb from TB is a better example.

Come on fellas, you know it's all about value and the Phillies are a big time public team and will generally be overvalued. A). It was a 2* pick B). The Phils have lost games this year noone wouldve expected them to. I'm pretty sure GG will continue to pick against the Philies in certain situations and if you don't like it, don't bet it. P.S. If you bet against Philadelphia in every game (except those that Doc starts), you would be just about even money so it's not like they've been a money making machine. Betting $100/game you would be up $687 in games Halladay starts but you are going to be taking him at least -180 most of the time, they are -$82 in all other games.

Well first off, I was simply making a point that you never play the Phillies, I think I made that clear. Second, I said that it was a 2 unit play so anyone that followed can not be mad about taking such a low confidence play.


As for that Bass kid? Anthony Bass is 7-3 w/ an 8.3 k/9 and 3.7 k/BB, so what are you talking about bad #'s. Also with Anthony Bass, Colorado has lost like 18 of their last 25 games, so not too many people are having issues beating them lately.

You are correct, kids sometimes perform well in spot starts from the minors b/c the hitters aren't familiar and there really is not much of a scouting report on them. There's also probably a larger # that get smoked especially against a solid lineup. How about Godfrey for Oakland the other night? 5 runs on 9 hits in 4 innings vs Royals

Yea, I get that too and then I saw GG make Ubaldo a big play at -200 in his last start. Surely if you can afford to take Ubaldo at -200 you can take Phillies.

He just picks his spots with those high juiced games and COL was one of them. You could justify taking them or not after the game was a loss and I liked it as well with Ubaldo pitching great in the two games prior. Yes he could also play the Phillies and he does, its just not often. Last one was not too long ago.

I don't look at his plays everyday, so you could be right, but I haven't seen him post a play on the Phillies ever, so I must have missed it.

GG generally comes back strong in the evening after a rough afternoon, so I hope that is the case tonight. I don't generally look to his day picks, which are generally smaller, so I hope he rocks the big plays tonight!

One more run in that Col/SD game will help out a bit

i have commented in the past about how gg never plays the phillies and that's why i brought it up. You can go back and look at some of my posts. Gg just hates the phillies. If you can find a day when he played them this season, let me know.

I'm going to continue to hound him about it too until he jumps on board!
