The situation with the NBA is that the league is losing money. The 2010 season was one of the most successful seasons business-wise yet over half of the teams lost money. Their solution is to cut players pay, and obviously the players don't like that one bit. The players and the administration are on two totally different levels in the negotiations and so a deal getting done is unlikely. A full season looks doubtful but that doesn't mean they won't start the season up for the second half. The last time lockout happened was the 98' season and they did manage to get a deal done and did play basketball, albeit only ~50 games instead of the full ~82. The good news is once a deal is signed there will be no need to worry about a lockout again for another decade, as deals are signed 11 years at a time.

I'm hopeful for the season, I have a far greater knowledge of sports investing this year around and am very eager to crush the bookies, just hope the league will give me the opportunity.

I used the ~ key because I was only approximating, thanks for clearing it up, fixed!

What I don't understand is why the players don't take the pay cut and play ball. The owners have a legitimate reason to cut pay, the league is losing money. Why can't the players just accept that and lower their salary by a few mill? They're still making a shit load of cash! Its puzzling that they would rather risk lockout and not get paid at all, rather than take a few mill off their paychecks. Greed on both ends is ruining the game for everyone.

It will suck without NBA, but I am taking this opportunity to focus on NCAA basketball.

No, I definitely will. That has proved to be a solid system. Assuming there is basketball. Thanks everyone for the points, I really appreciate that, though it wasn't necessary. I realize MLB Plu$$$ is at a downtime right now, but over the last 7 days, almost 20 units have been recouped. Hopefully the staeak continyes. Thanks everyone, and also, thanks Hagball for all you do.

I'm using a labby with your plays and was pretty much away for the last few weeks, so I'm comfortably up money playing your picks at the moment and I'm positive it stays this way til the end of the season. I remember people saying your take on JM NBA went undefeated last season, hopefully you'll repeat the feat
My system had nothing to do with JM NBA, but it did go 85-0. I had mentioned I found a much better bet scheme for the JM NBA also, rather than the way he lays it out. I will spell all that out when basketball gets here. I will post plays again, and it will be in the same place it was last year.

have you found any ways around paying such high juice on the ml's? I remember one of the last series last year was lakers against spurs and the lakers ml was around -1100. any strategies like playing the spread if the odds are to high?

All lines and standings are based on final lines from ScoresandOdds.com. Some of the unofficial plays may change to the other team by game time. Official plays will not change. Keep checking for updated posts until all games are marked “official”. If your book is offering (+1½) on the (-1½) plays above, buy the alternate line for (-1½) on the team I have listed at (-1½), not the other team. NEVER PLAY (+1½) LINE ON ANY GAME IN THIS SYSTEM.

The v1 plays may change to the other team by game time. The v2 plays will not change teams, but may change (M/L) or (R/L), the team will usually remain the same. Once Official, nothing will change. We have to be careful when playing a game that qualifies for both v1 and v2, because if a team should switch, we may be playing both sides later in the series, or we could even start out on both sides. The system will count all games as wins/losses, how you play them is your discretion. If not otherwise marked, the play will be v1.

Both teams have better pitching all 3 days. The unofficial plays have been hitting well also so we can't ignore those. I've already handicapped all 3 series and it looks like all 3 teams have a chance to at least get the cover in one game. There was one sweep yesterday but no future play. GL all and let's amass some sickening fortunes this weekend.
