Yes, we hope it loses so we can play the next one. Unfortunately, this is one thing that is out of our control. This is why I say to play "action" bets on M/L games, however, that is not offered on R/L bets. Like stated above, fortunately it is only one unit. Not to mimick JM, but though it may suck, if Phils win by more than 1, series is over, unless you wish to continue. Once I make bets "official", it is up to all of you to keep an eye on them until game time to make sure your bets are accurate. This could happen in ANY system in MLB, not just mine. I missed it too, and I live near Philly, didn't even hear about it. But in this particular situation, the pitching change did not affect the team to bet on, the right team was made official.

It is one of the drawbacks of runline betting, but fortunately this system usually makes a ton of units, so losses like these won't really hurt in the long run, even though technically, they are wins.

Not if the (B) bet wins. Keep in mind, this is an official play, many people paid attention and got the right bet in, unfortunately, most of us didn't. I wouldn't run away from runline bets because of this. We may have lost 1 lousy unit because of this, but look how much we have won so far with the R/L. Really, it's not the end of the world. Let's focus on our (C) and (D) bet. If it really is an issue, then put an extra 1/2 unit on two upcoming +money bets and hopefully you can recover that small loss.

I did say that wasn't directed at you, but this question happens quite frequently, I know you didn't ask it, another person did. For those of you who want to continue the Colorado series after tonight, which will be the (B) (C) and (D) bet, I will post the Official plays for the Unofficial series continuation if you all wish. I am a risk taker, so I will play it out. If Colorado wins tonight, the system will pick up 1 (B) win for the season. If we continue to play it out, the results of our new series will not count in our season totals, win or lose. I will try to do this whenever this situation occurs, but let this be a lesson to us all, pitching changes and games that don't go 9 innings will void runline bets. At least check the pithchers before games start, as far as games getting called early, there is nothing we can do about that. I don't know how often it happens, it would be much too time consuming to go back to every game for the past 6 years to see which games we played with pitchers that weren't supposed to start, even total innings of games aren't listed on most sites. This is the one problem we get with betting baseball that we don't get with any other sport, with the exception of NFL, which took a hurricane and the collapse of the Superdome to postpone a game. That doesn't happen every day. But rain in baseball does. I say, play in the rain, WIMPS.
