Doesn't mean a thing, they only play there 3 or 4 times a year and streak is spread across 5 years, going back to the days of Tanyon Sturtze and Vinny Castiilla.

Does anyone have the closing line to this game? Anything from any bookmaker would be appreciated. The MLB Odds & Scores section of SBR Forum has started showing gibberish the last week or so. Even the Live Scores didn't have the game listed.

Progessive Field=Ray's house of horrors..Some teams just can't win at certain venues. It happens to teams in almost every sport.

If there was a real answer to that other than pure luck, then and only then would the streak be meaningful. As it is, it should not even be a consideration in your capping.

add in the emotional/motivation angle of spending the last few years with TB before they traded him to CLE for Kelly Shoppach

Amazing how some people put so much stock into a 17-game sample spread over so many years.
Now if the 18 games were over the last two years or so, then yeah it would be different because it would mean the teams see each other quite a bit each year. But the fact that we are looking at 3 or 4 games a year over so many different roister DOES make the streak pure luck and meaningless.
