Cubs-Phils over whatever. Hot, humid, wind blowing out, Blanton on the bump, Blanton and Lilly both horrible during the day -- not sure what they'll set the total at, but play the over.
Baltimore +145. Road Ricky (2-4, 5.28 ERA) should never be -165 -- especially when we're talking about a mediocre Toronto squad facing an Oriole team that showed some life in Texas. Wieters is out. Bergesen is a rollercoaster ride, but if his sinker's working, the O's can win this one.
Houston -115. Not in love with this play, but give me Myers against the Bucs and a struggling Zach Duke.
Detroit -150. This line makes zero sense -- like the Cubs today -- which is why you play it. Scherzer's been junk on the road, and got shelled in his one start vs. the Tribe so far this season. Westbrook's pitched well vs. Detroit in '10. So why is Cleveland +132 at home?
Florida +120. Nats stink away from D.C., even with Strasburg pitching. Nolasco's starting to hit his stride (4-0 L4), and he's been known to go on runs. I'll take the better team at home for + money.
Arizona FF. Haren's owned the Pads and Garland's been struggling recently. I think the Dirtbags can win this game, but no way I'm taking the whole shebang with their gawd-awful pen.
Just some intial leans for Friday -- thoughts?
