got some "inside info" from another board...

Hammels has been battling an injured groin. He said last game he was surprised how quickly it tightened up on him and it hurt him pretty bad in the 1st inning. It is still bothering him but he is going to try and pitch today anyways. He has been pretty bad and this is only going to make it worse. I would not be surprised to see him come out after a few innings.

Here is his quote:

Hammel (1-3, 7.52) is expected to take the ball even though he’s still bothered by a right groin strain.
Making his second start since coming off the disabled list with the injury, Hammel said it affected him while he gave up five runs in 6 2-3 innings of a 9-2 loss at Kansas City on Friday.
“I expected it to flare up a little bit, but not as much as it was from pitch one,” Hammel said. “It tightened up midway through the bullpen warming up, but it was manageable. I thought I battled pretty well. It’s a small victory.”

Anyone good in Excel? I like to create an automatic-calculator (for a formula) on Excel. For example, you enter the data, you click "YES" and it gives you number. Any sharp Excel users here?

FWIW, I agree with the HOU/MIL Yes, but would feel a LOT better about it if MIL could actually score vs. RHP in the first. Stats don't include interleague. MIL is 2-11 scoring so far this season at home and 7-22 overall vs. RHP. On the plus side, Myers has given up a run each of his 4 road games, and they weren't against teams that are that strong at scoring in the first vs. RHP.

Nice to see you Bart. Yes, Brewers are ranked 5th in 1st Inning Run Rankings(http://www.teamrankings.com/mlb/stat...-runs-per-game) with 0.67 while Astros are ranked 25th with 0.39 but Astros 1-3 hitters have a good history versus Bush.

Any idea how those ranking are compiled.

They are 7-22 vs. RHP and 3-11 vs. LHP for 10-33 overall in non-interleague play at scoring a run.

Or are those rankings for just any score in first, whether or not by them or other team?
