The Road To $10K

I'm going to attempt to turn $100 into $10K by the end of the year using the Martingale System. I've heard nothing but bad things about the system so I'm trying to prove it wrong, and if I lose (which will probably be soon) I'll only be out $100. The picks are straight plays but also include some parlays here and there so on those parlay days I won't need to risk as much to recover a profit. In the beginning I'll only be looking to win small bets, as the bankroll gets larger I'll adjust my bets accordingly. Not really looking for any followers on the thread, especially since it might not last long, but if anyone wants to throw out any comments that's fine by me. I'm mostly doing this thread so I can basically force myself to stay with the system, if I start making bets on my own and not post the accurate balance I'll feel pretty guilty. Well, here goes nothin........

There is nothing wrong with the Martingale system. The only reason it has a bad name is because of casino games that have a house edge. As long as you have an edge, though, Martingale doesn't change that.

I like this thread, I've been wanting to do the same system myself, i just don't have the confidence in my picks to double up each time. I've played 6 games the last 6 days and have won literally every other one, so I would be good so far. I also like the martingale on 2 teamers if you can pick them decently because you can get about 7 bets in and still have half of your BR left. GL and i'll be following as well.

So a nice comeback by the Braves yesterday got me back on track. The win pushed my bankroll up to $138.50 and since I earn Bet Points at my sportsbook I traded in some bet points to get $2.50 to bring the bankroll up to $141.00, for some odd reason it makes me feel better about yesterday seeing this bankroll instead of $138.50. Anyway, I'm still going to count the OVER as a System Win since I did make a profit for the day, even though I was $4 short of my targeted $145.
