#73Yea you're right I just checked that stat, hes over 200 batting average lifetime which is pretty good for a pitcher but I mean still 14 1/2 that's just too fukin high with a couple of decent pitchers but I guess we'll seeComment -

#74I didn't play the total yesterday, but I just can't believe a 13 and a 14.5 (ridiculously high totals) will both hit over in back-to-back days.Comment -

#75Cubs team total over 7.5Originally posted by Dark HorseIf with religion you mean belief system, your belief system is your religion. Again, it matters not what it is. You believe in it, you are loyal to it, would defend it, and yet have no proof of it, other than that, at one point or another, you chose to believe in it. Self-hypnosis. What if there were a snapping of fingers that broke the hypnosis?Comment -

#77I do realize that the books make mistakes at times. Subsequently, there's no reason why this game couldn't go Under, of course it could. All I'm trying to say is that when you see a line that seems out of whack it's usually because the books are on to something that the general public doesn't know.
I'm sure that people who have been around here a long time see this time and time again when the average poster is saying, "this line is too high, there's no way there will be that many runs, you gotta take the under."
The Under seems like the smart play here (hence it's the square play). The Over is therefore the sharp play.
Now, for the record, I'm not a big baseball fan or capper..... I'm just trying to point out the fact that when something doesn't seem right, it usually is.
Whenever something is unreasonably high or low, go with the unreasonable side and count your winnings.Comment -

he was drafted and played his first few years in the minors as a catcher......
then he converted to a pitcher..... so I mean he got paid to hit be a hitter/receiver.... a real live professional hitter.... he's no owings or scherzer... but still you can tell that he has a plan and an approach when he gets to home plate.... and he is thinking up there in between pitchesComment -

#88I took the under just bc well....its fukin 14 1/2 I mean fuk I was expectin a couple 7 ERAs but 2.5 and 4.9? This would be like an 8 total if it were at a normal ballpark, I mean I understand the short fence at Wrigley with a 50 mph wind behind you is not hard to hit a HR but is that really worth over 6 more runs than normal?
Maybe it is we'll see but they suckered me in with that total, hell I thought it was a line error at firstComment -

#89Under. Guys, solid pitchers on the mound, highest total ever after 13 yesterday, no way it goes over 15 in back-to-back days.
And weren't there like two grand slams yesterday? Total anomaly.Comment -
