Completely agree. I think this is a Rays ML play or no play. This line is up to -180 in some places. That is because Vegas is thinking the same thing most are... the Sox won't get swept. Personally, I think the Sox will probably win, so I'm not going to play. No value

Lackey has been very good career against TB, 9-2 with around a 3 ERA. The Sox have hit Niemann hard before. Not sure i would say TB is playing that much better then the sox, who should of won the continued game..bases laoded no outs and dont score a run to win the game, Bullshit! Also Cameron doesnt make a 4 run error and sox probably would of won the 2nd game saturday. Chalk is high but im loving the redsox today, Also throwing a good chunk on the RL, b3est of luck FBT

Wilforth and Dukeblue, I think that you guys are right on. -180 on the Sox vs. +161 for the Rays makes the Rays the value play with how this series has gone.

I am also seeing 76% of the online bets on Boston as of 8:30 ET, representing over 10,000 online bets, with the next most highly bet game only having just under 4,000 bets. This game is getting a lot of attention from all of us degenerates today, since it is at 11:00 AM, which is why it is the most highly actioned game so far. I wonder if this is setting up to be a perfect game for Vegas to take the public to the cleaners on. It definitely seems like a no-play, or the Rays +161 to me...

I think that's what it's shaping up to be. People are under the meaningless illusion that "Boston can't be swept".

I'm waiting to see the lineups for both teams. Leaning towards Tampa ML +159. Lacky hasn't been that spectacular this season. Definitely hasn't been striking out a lot of batters and Ray's bats are hot.

Does anyone know Boston's record for these early games through out the past seasons?

If you're considering betting on this one, please don't use the "Boston can't get swept" rationale as one of your reasons. Just throw that one out. They CAN get swept - this is sports we're talking about. Anything can happen!!

The only play with any value here is Tampa Bay ML. If you don't feel confident with that bet, my advice is that you're better off skipping this game and focusing on one of the other 7 today.

For what it's worth I'm leaning Tampa Bay but will be staying away from this game as I'd hate to be on the winning side when it seems so many people are dumping boatloads of cash on Boston primarily because of Lackey and the sweep factor. Boston is struggling right now and it's offence is shocking - sweep or no sweep they're not a safe team to bet on just because everyone else and their dog seems to be.
