i play at pokerstars, and i usually play the double or nothing sit-and-go tourneys whenever i'm pressed for time. i'm not a huge poker player -- i usually only play the $10 buy-ins

would you like to know something specific about the site? i've been playing there for about 2+ years and i enjoy it better than party poker (before they went out of U.S. business). i recommend playing all your tournaments on the "speed" mode, or whatever they call it -- if not, you can wind up sitting there for hours over a bunch of meatheads playing out a $4.00 pot like they're at the WSOP final table...

I have to agree with everyone that STL is a joke, they only have 4 legit players on their team (Pujols, Holliday, Carpenter, and Wainwright) and everyone acts like their a true elite team. What are they gonna do in the postseason when Carp or Wainwright lose a game, they're done. Also, their offense is a joke because everyone knows that all you gotta do is avoid their 2 hitters and you're golden. Most overrated team in baseball.

Yes.. since the beginning of poker time...

Double or nothings, or DON's, like all sit n gos (sngs), can be beat, but depending on the level, there has been alot of public knowledge about collusion, particularly out of a ring out of China... Mostly cleaned up most people believe... But this went on for a long while...i can get you references if you'd like on the threads...

MTT's (Multi table tourneys), SNG's and DON's at EVERY level are increasingly more difficult now then a year ago, then a year before that etc... But once you hit $50+ they are Very, very tough on pokerstars...

they are streaky, but they're not overrated. they have a solid (not great, but solid) lineup and they have a very good starting staff. they also have one of the best managers in the game. but they are streaky. have been for years. i chased this team 3 years ago as they lost 9 straight games -- killed my entire bankroll -- and they were in the middle of a pennant race then too. but don't forget what they did in cincinnati last week -- they went into hostile territory and EMBARRASSED the reds. so try not to have such a short memory. i know betting them as big favs sucks, but just because they're cold doesn't mean they're overrated. they're still the best club in that division, and easily one of the top 4 clubs in the NL. i'm on them today too, so it's not like i'm not feeling the pain as well.

but if you want to talk OVERRATED....cincinnati is overrated. they've done nothing against above .500 teams all year, had the easiest interleague schedule (still only went 8-7) and they are managed by a guy who is about as questionable a manager as you will find, west of lou piniella. cincinnati is a SUPER FADE down the stretch, if you ask me.
