nothing like the games on saturday because they mean so much more. i look so forward to those abc 8pm games of the week. sometime you get hype for an nfl game like the 5-0 nyg and 5-0 saints to see one team almost lose by 30.

I simply meant, what is the advantage of betting the underdog to cover the spread, when you get a better return on betting the money line? It has nothing to do with the circumstances that you placed the bet on, I'm simply saying I'm 100% ignorant when it comes to betting the RL on the underdog.

For instances, the NY vrs. KC game.

I can bet KC ML for +210 which states they simply have to score at least one more run then the Yankees for the bet to win.

Or I can bet KC RL for (+1.5) +135, which states they must score two more runs then the Yankees for the bet to win.

Why would any one ever do the latter?

i did take it the wrong way.....my apologies....the only reason i took the wager the way i did is because; the pirates absolutely stink, especially on the road. I know garland is well overratted, i am not confident that pit will win, although i think they will. So i am simply paying the juice to cover my instinct. I am willing to take the +1.5 -130 as a gut. I normally would not take this wager. However, i have success with it in the past. that way if SD does win by 1 i still win...i am fine with that

Nah, +1 1/2 means they can lose by 1, not that they have to win by 2.
