I like your analysis, but my angle is that they cannot waste a start by carpenter against a crap team when they are trying to win the nl central. I definitely wouldn't put -300 on the ml but I wouldn't wrrite it off not putting them in a parlay with another play to increase the value on that play.

Yea I would have to agree I really like Philly with Oswalt going..Hopefully he gets a little run support tonite. Stammen has a 15.63 ERA against Philly but it is a bit chalky at -173!!

odds are factored into parlays also. A parlay with -300 and -250 is worth much less than a parlay +300 and +250. You would be angry if it was the lone thing that lost your parlay with such little value at -340. If I saw lots of value in -340 I would bet 10X or 15X maybe, but I do not. It is square and not valued IMO. GL with whatever you decide.

I never think wagering -300 is a value. I just don't think it's pirates or nothing like you mentioned. Of course parlays factor in -300 and of course you don't put in a large amount on parlays. I do however see value parlaying say for example, Toronto RL with cards ml. Where 100 pays out 180 and just going on toronto RL pays +105. Even parlaying both those ML, 108 pays out 100 for two teams that should win IMO. GL to you as well. Just trying to give readers more options.
