I will be posting my plays here for this season. I make no guarantee's as MLB has not been a good sport for me to bet on. Funny thing is I actually like the sport but have not been very good at it over the long haul. Please feel free to offer any insight you may have or plays you like.

I hope we can have some success this year and I am looking to learn from those that have a better handle on wagering this sport than I have. I am going to take some advice I have read from several posters here and look to stay away from betting high ML favorites and look to bet more dogs this year. In the past I have played high Ml favorites and I don't think they win enough which has been my experience most of the time. I am sure I will still play some, but at least at this rate I can hold on to my money a little longer hopefully.

love baseball as a fan but this only my second season taking a crack at betting it all the way through (didnt do bad my 1st year but didnt exactly make money either, 1st year of every sport im just happy to get a somewhat cheap or free education with hopes of learning enough to profit following seasons), so kinda like you dont feel nearly as confident as i do in the college sports but reasonably sure i can turn a profit.....here's to a good season for everyone

Changed avatar in observance of opening day. I couldn't sleep last nite like a child on Christmas Eve. As you can tell I am a huge Braves fan and was with them through the completely rotten years when they wore the light blue smurf jerseys and lost 100+ every season. Braves have not made the playoffs since 2005 and I hope they can sneak in the wild card this year but I won't get my hopes up too much. The team has struggled since Turner sold them to Liberty Media. Libery Media doesn't want to spend the money it takes to win and there has been some mismanagement of contracts as well that are holding them back.

My attitude is the same. I have also lightened up on the amount of money I bet. I play basketball for good money but I am playing baseball small as I am trying to pay for my education also. Maybe I can survice the season without going broke

Hey buddie! How have you been? Good to see you and please feel free to post your picks in my thread too as I will enjoy seeing them.

I am looking to learn how to become profitable in this sport so I can be a professional gambler Nah, all BS aside I do pretty well in NBA,NFL,CFB, but have never won in this sport over the long haul and trying to change that even if its +01 at the end of the year.

Good luck to you MLB!! I hope you have a good year. I like the Brewers team by the way just betting against them today for a few reasons. Line movement is one reason and knowing Gallardo struggles to go deep in games due to a high pitch count and I think Rockies are better but in 162 game season it really doesn't matter if I think Col is better..

To be honest I just wanted some action and will pay more attention to stuff and hopefully learn some things this season that will allow me to be profitable over the 2H of the season as I am a work in progress here.

Thanks Landers! Yea man would love to learn how to do baseball with the same success of NBA or even football. I am going to watch some of the prices I play this season and try to win on some dogs as well. As you well know baseball is a sport that % means less than any of the other ones.

almost every capper on this site is on the reds today. Why??? Carpenter has been one of the most consistent pitchers in baseball and the cards have the same offense as last year. What makes u guys so confident that the reds r the play with harang on the mound? I think he walks 7+ today and carp goes 6 solid innings. I have the final score: cards 7 reds 2

All the same to you Mex.. Maybe we can learn together. usually, I get frustrated early and put it down and concentrate on Fantasy baseball. Something I actually am good at rather than losing at MLB. I have a different approach and perspective this year. My goal is to bet small and play less juice and just try to learn how to win at betting this sport. I mean it's not a foreign sport to me I actually like it and played at the college level on scholarship yet none of that has ever translated into me winning money betting MLB over the long haul.. Never done it.

Lakers, I like a dog at home. Also I liked the way the line was moving for me to pick the reds. Its only a unit for me so not a huge bet but I liked the pick. I know Carpenter is a great pitcher, but it is opening day and this is baseball where anything can happen

Thanks friend and yes I will need some luck. I am playing sugar money here until I get some kind of feel for what I am doing. Some say study but don't bet, but I won't study if i don't bet I'll pay attention and see if I can learn thru my loses as that's the way I have always done it and I am sure there will be some loses from my daily selections.
