Ok... forgive me if I am a bit clueless here but the record for the season is 12-1... If the system plays as I understand it (which I may not, which is why im asking this) with smart bankroll managment and patience, how would you be down? just curious if I am missing something. I have been smoked by a capper i had been tracking and have been toying with the thought of getting in on this but am still confused by the conflicting reports.... any help out there to maybe better understand if this is worth throwing some funds behind? thanks

Because this is a chase system, a 'loss' in the system is worth A: 1 unit B: 1*2+1 units C: 3*2+1 units = 11 units.

So every recorded win is 1 unit, and every recorded loss is 11 units.

If you played the system without putting as much weight on the B and C bets (ie what some people are quoting as 'smart' money management), your loss would be slightly less units, but your win will also be averaging less than 1 unit, since you would not recover 100% of your A and B loss.

Thanks! that's what I was thinking... I knew it was a chase system just wantes to confirm my numbers were correct... It seems viable to be able to make money off of this but it seems unless you laying a ridculous amount and have the funds to ride with it, it takes quite a bit of time to build up cash on the plus side (i.e. betting a % of your roll and hoping it gets bigger over time)

I guess im wondering if EVERYONE is down on this system... I know the Buffet picks have been pretty rough as of late, just trying to find the right plays for me..... thanks zed!

Pheww, luckily the G mens bats came alive last night since I took the -1 1/2 at +125 on them. I know you where supposed to bet on the ML but I just kept looking at that -190 and didn't want to pull the trigger so went out on a limb and took the RL. I don't think I'll be doing that much again though ha Can only get lucky so many times.

you have to buy 3 points Towards which ever team your betting on - should be that. The same as the regular NBA system.

If the team is a favorite and the spread is greater than -3, then take the moneyline.

Why is a loss 11 units?? It depends what your odds are... if you have 3 games at odds of 1.50 (-200) then your loss will be 20+ units. Everytime you have a loss it varies

I presume the asterisks are indicating system versions? I notice CONN @ IND doesn't follow the version 1 rules (both Eastern Conf) so I'm presuming we wait on that game to start in LA (using the Morrison NBA, don't have access to a WNBA version but presuming the same)?

Because your chasing 3 bets. If you do the maths it's easy to see. To make life easy, lets say after you buy 3 points you get odds of 1.50 (-200), this is what would happen in the event of a loss...

(A bet) $200 to win $100 ($100 profit)
(B bet) $600 to win $300 ($300-$200 = $100 profit)
(C bet) $1800 to win $900 ($900-$600-$200 = $100 profit)

Over 3 bets you would be staking $2600 to win $100... that would be why if you lost it is not profitable.

Even if you say I have given really low odds, the best you will probably get would be around 1.60, so say you stake $2000 over 3 bets to win $100.

The NBA is exactly the same, except it is more profitable because there are more plays.
The MLB you get better offs most of the time, but you still stand to lose pretty much a minimum of 15 units per chase
