If you aren't from New York and you root for the Yankees I am not sure if we can get along. I will be rooting against the Yankees and will probably never take them (seriously when are Yankees the play?), but I (like almost everybody) thinks they are the big favorite to win it all this year.

Yankees are great every year but last year they were really playing big time , they always have the best of everthing, the competition has to hope that the team just does not gel well together , because if they all get along watch out .

Being a die hard HATE Yankee fan, I hope NOT. However, if you want to make some good money early in the season. Bet against the Yanks untill the end of July and then bet them heavey for the rest of the season. This is how I have made tons of $$$$ over the last 5 seasons. GL

Life long Yanks fan here.
I think the Yankees had an added boost of emotion and adrenaline last year due to the beautiful new stadium, and how the fans flooded and reacted to it.
No hang-over, this year they win with the best line-up.
I also have to add, Nick Swisher may not have had the best numbers last season, but he added something to the chemistry of the team.

Offense took a step backwards losing Damon. But with Granderson their defense is way better, and they improved their pitching, too. No reason they can't repeat.
