#505BANG!!
eveything lined up in that under phillies play. the starters, the bullpens, the offenses, the movement and then to top it all off, Jim Wolf behind the plate.

#517what a joke last night was - dropped 2 games in the 9th inn that were winners going in. an 11 unit swing from +5x to -6x. could have just about been back in the black. patience. no chasing.
learned my lessons over the years.Comment -

#519I think football and basketball are much easier, and they aren't easy.
I've been burned by more fluke crap in baseball than I was the rest of the year combined -- and it's only June. Bigger sample size, I know, but the problem is you never know which relief pitcher is going to be asleep in the bullpen when his number is called so that he can trot out and cough up a lead with goo in his eye and alcohol on his breath from the night before.Comment -

#521Just my personal experience -- and I know baseball better than any sport and follow it regularly. I've won over $20,000 playing fantasy baseball through the years. That's one thing -- capping it is a totally different beast. A real fvcking grind that can throw you under the bus every day. I just don't feel that way about the NFL or NBA -- not as strongly, at least.Comment -

my leagues are a $300 and $200 buy in. most we could win is like $2k per season.
derrick lee and aram are killing me. have them in both my fantasy leagues.Comment -

#525It's cumulative since 1998, but I play a national game where entry fee and transactions cost $$$. You win for leagues, national finishes, etc., etc. Have to invest some money in it, but if you're OK with that and have confidence, it becomes a cash cow to play (at least for me).Comment
