Can anyone recommend a good book for live betting? I'm in the Greek and Bookmaker right now, and I was able to get action in Bookmaker on the Yanks today but Greek closes their action at the time they list the game, not when the game actually starts so I ended up paying an extra 0.10 on them at BM. On the same note, does live betting open as soon as the game starts or does it usually take an inning or two?

Edit: I'm in the US, so I can't use some books.

pinnacle for mid-innings bets.

bet365 for truly live bets - anytime during the game... obviously the numbers come of fthe board if something happens. HUGE range of plays.

Matchbook is OK in regard to Live Betting. They only provide live betting on some games. The yanks game is live today, I was able to get 3.5 units at -181 in the top of the 1st inning and 6.5 units on the RL at -109 in the bottom of the 1st right before the home run.

Overall MB's live lines have not been nearly as good as last year but there is still value to be found and overall it's worth a look, it's just not a consistent place to go for a solid live line, it's hit and miss.

As an example 6 of the 14 games today will have live lines and I think that is on the high side for them from what I remember.

Hope this helps. I would like other opinions on this. What other books are US players using for in-game odds?

TA - Here's the question I had for you:

Do you play a lot more American league games than National League games or is that just my perception?

I haven't looked at the stats or anything it just seems that way. If so, is it simply because your system kicks out more AL games? Or is your familiarity stronger in the AL?

Just curious. As always if I have overstepped what you are willing to share, no worries, just tell me to piss off

Never thought of it that way lovetobet. Sometimes their are more NL teams, other days more AL and still other days an even split - all I can tell you is the plays are what they are without regard to league. Both leagues are done in a similar fashion, minor change for AL. Thanks for repeating it and hope that clears it up for you.

Nice plays today, I was able to get down all 10 units but because I was live betting for all of it, I got 6.5 of them on the RL, luckily that did not cost me. Nice call on the Reds also, let's keep it rolling today
