I would just like to say there can be a fine line between arrogance and confidence. Most, if not all, extremely succesful people are one, the other or both. Go down the list, moguls of industry, athletes, movie stars, high end hedge fund managers, musicians, attorneys, etc. I have had the pleasure of doing business with some of these people and trust me if you are at or near the top of any industry you are either arrogant or confident or both. I've seen enough of both arrogance and confidence to know the difference and TA is anything but arrogant, from what I've seen I would use words like confident and grounded, but not arrogant. I have not seen arrogant tendencies from him.

Trust me I know arrogant, I work for someone who is the best at what they do in the state of California and one of the best in the country and he is both extremely arrogant and confident, but you know what he's also extremely succesful and it drives him to stay on top, good or bad, hard to say. Not the way I'll do things if/when I get my opportunity but it has served him well, what about people like Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods, those two are arrogant as hell and look at what they have done in their respective sports. Now given their personal lives are another story but that's what you get with people like this.

The reality is TA has the right to be arrogant with his record and consistency, but TA is not arrogant.
Thank you lovetobet well stated and hope this will put an end to the garbage, so the thread can remain on course. Confident, yes. Grounded, oh yes. This comes from knowing & remembering who you are, where you can from and what potential door(s) may open for you down the road. If I ever get to that point, my wife will get my attention about it and that's what makes the world go around.

Excellent comment PuckCoach. One has to literally be able to burn the currency of the wager and not have it effect their lives negatively. Yes, non-winning days happen. Sometimes weeks or even a month but if one is focused they can withstand the damage from those times.

I have/use checks & balances for each factor/filter used used to ensure one or a few factors/filters don't produce false positives. Yes, they at times appear but after a while one can know when they occur.

To a small degree yes. The system/process/method/your term adjusts for inter league, the All-Star Break and other oddities. Historically, at times like this
(ASG) it's a good idea to take that second look in the bullpen and see what's there but remember each team is different every season.

It's a good call Ralphie1412 because it won and sometimes some say it's better to be lucky than good, in any case CO got it done yesterday and it's a beautiful thing. Working on the latter.

Real good value on SDG and OAK. SDG pitching should keep them in any game and they are capable of scoring runs outside that Valley called Petco. I think Burnett is either hurt or become a total head case. Either way, I don't believe what he's got is going to get fixed quickly. Only question is can OAK keep the Yanks bats quiet.

                                Keep it up. It's working!

DETROIT (AP) -- Some independent owners of BP gas stations in Michigan say they have switched or are trying to switch brands amid customer boycotts sparked by the continuing Gulf of Mexico oil spill.

Abdel Berry, who owns three BP stations in the Detroit area, is converting two of them to the Sunoco brand. Berry said business is down at one location from 800 gallons to 500 gallons a day.

"It's either change or go out of business," he told the Detroit Free Press for a story Wednesday.

Station owner Fred Asmar said he's under a multiyear contract with BP so he can't switch. He has lowered prices at his Detroit station to bring back customers but business is still down.

BP PLC said late last month that it would offer distributors money back for gas they buy at terminals. BP said the cash is for gallons purchased in June, July and August, and amounts to 2 cents per gallon along the Gulf Coast and 1 cent per gallon in the East and Midwest.

BP has said the package includes volume allowances and reductions in credit card fees that merchants pay when customers use their credit cards to buy gasoline and items in station stores.

Asmar and Berry say they haven't received any financial assistance so far.
BP owns just a fraction of the more than 11,000 stations across the U.S. that sell its fuel under the BP, Amoco and ARCO banners. Most are owned by local businessmen like Asmar and Berry whose primary connection to the oil company is the logo and a contract to buy gasoline.

In a large number of cases, the distributor of BP gasoline also is the owner or operator of BP-branded gas stations. But in some cases, there is only a supply relationship between the distributor and the merchant at the retail location.
Some BP-branded gas stations have reported sales declines of 10 percent to 40 percent from Florida to the Midwest since the April 20 rig explosion and resulting spill that have tarnished BP's image.

I'm waiting on the most current weather (wind) report from my sons who are at the game tonight which would involve total/totals action (maybe/maybe not). Outside of that, that's it for the 7 o'clocker's.

Generally, I agree with the 'the series' approach but home team has full regular line-up with a tosser who's been going well. Sometimes the best wager is the one not made.

I saw the pic from Break.com a couple of years back and saw it again recently. I am not sure where it originated from.

Just that I recall seeing a skit back on Comedy Central from the Man Show and it revolved around the saying of that young man's t-shirt, that's why I asked.

I want to start tailing in the second half of the season, ie: starting immediately after the AS break, and I was wondering how you treat your wagering and such going into the second half. As I've stated before, since you're up over 170 units so far, if I were to start tailing tonight and you have a -30 night it wouldn't be the end of the world to you, but since I've not tailed all along I would be in serious trouble. So, I guess I'm wondering if you treat the second half of the season as almost like a clean slate, starting from scratch. My second question is what you would recommend as a unit percentage for me. I've heard people suggest anywhere up to around 5% for one unit, but if you've got one of your plays that's over half of my roll for a favorite. I was thinking maybe 2.5% for a unit but I was hoping to get your (or anyone else's) opinion. Many thanks in advance.
A lot of action in the thread, so it's easy for posts to get overlooked. I was wondering if you might have any insight regarding this post. It will be greatly appreciated.

Second half of the season, is the start of a 'new' season but a part of the big picture. I get the if a -30 happens but following the break, don't normally go that large right away. I can't/won't tell you want a unit should be for you - it's not my place. To help you determine it's size, look at last season's final numbers (this thread page 1 - SECOND HALF) and you'll see how many wagers were placed, add in this season's first half and you'll have a total, then divide by the number of items counted (two). You need to have enough to literally burn it all and not have it effect your/your families life style. In general, a 1 or 2% for one unit is safer - just keep the unit the same so you can track your progress easier.
