Reg Sea: 621-587-10, 51.41%, +$28,306.26

Try to remember previous success does not guarantee future results as each season is different.

As a reminder, keep the thread PG13 clean. Don't use vague terms to define your wagers (small, medium, heavy, etc) use units or amount but if you go the amount route, let people know how many units that is. There is no slamming of any poster in this thread - if you feel the need, make a thread outside this one so the flow will be easier to follow and read. Lastly, keep an up to date record of your action.

I was just curious about last year's record. Does the $28,306.26 profit come from betting only $100 a unit?? If it was, then that is amaaaazing, up 283 units! I was just curious to try to see how many units I can expect to win/lose this season, even though I know past performance is not necessarily correlated with future results.

Units were $100 for last season, and this one too. There were, are and will be times when more than one unit is in play (sometimes less). I'll tell you and others, I do not flat-bet but as you saw I list record, win rate (percentage), amount +/- or money +/- that way everyone can judge for themself if it's better to flat-bet the selections or play them as listed (matching units) for themself. To me, the answer is obvious, play them matching unit for unit but I do realize people may not have the resources for that. I also tell people not to cheery pick the selections because in the long run, you will lose - play them all or none. The choice is for each person. I will also tell you, if the same people return from last season, and I'm hoping they will, this thread can, will and does provide many many unlisted, but known thread plays. When everyone contributes, we all gain insight, knowledge, and some money once in a while. I have zero issues or problems if you and/or others are on the other side of a wager (unlike some threads) as we all don't handicap the games the exact same way. thanks actually contemplating getting ready to retire the NBA this season its been a hard grind, im more interested in playing with my new toys for the MLB season.

T.A. you're the man. I really really hope this year's MLB season goes like last year. I have made some pretty stupid decisions lately, especially losing my shirt on the Spurs tonight vs the Nets!! I know MM is the key to success, and believe me I have learned the hard way. I'm about a year into this sports betting, but I think I can contribute some of my knowledge of baseball to this thread. I have always loved sports and have realized that I can put it to use finally. Anyways, thanks for your polite answers and I hope I can contribute something to this thread.

I'm intrigued by your comment on Matchbook. There's no doubt that lines can be arbed between books to exploit inefficient or deliberately mispriced lines. But can you provide a specific example of how this might be used against an average bettor like me or someone else in the thread? I'm an active matchbook user and would welcome the opportunity to learn.
