Yeah, we need an edit title function.

Dex, I don't know about the anti-Hanson bet. The kid has walked a lot of people but I don't expect that to last. He doesn't have a history of control issues. He's already started to pitch more to contact rather than try to strike everybody out, which is what I think the problem is. And even though he's had baserunners due to control problems, he's tough to hit and he's only given up 2 runs in his last 21 innings! He hasn't given up a run in either of his last 2 starts (11+ scoreless inning streak). What more do you want from a 22 year old with 4 career starts? He's 3-0 with a 3.13 ERA!

I'm not betting this game, but I'd be careful fading the guy. He might just be the real deal.

I'm afraid to post picks right now. LOL. I posted like 7 plays the other day and went 2-5 or 1-6. Something ridiculous. So I'm back to a moratorium on posting my plays. I busted out of an early season slump doing that, and if yesterday is any indication it's helping me again.

        Good luck everybody!

        EDIT:

I will say that I'm on the CHC/CWS under as well. Probably just jinxed us by posting it, but I'll take my chances.

Any thoughts on fading Wang today? He still doesn't seem like he's pitching that well to me. Plus Johnny Damon has the flu or something which might help Hernandez and the Mets take this game.

jello - maybe you never say my post from last week. he does have a history of control issues. if you throw out his rookie ball season in 2006, his bb/9 is not consistent. though what is encouraging was his 2.3 in the minors this year - so at least hes not a consistent walk machine like a zambrano etc. but again, i just feel that a team like the redsox will not let him get away with all of those free passes. i love the guy, and he'll be one of my 2 keepers for next year - but his control is not good, and that will catch up with him.

I was thinking the same thing until I looked at the Mets hitting stats for the last 5 games. Their whole freakin team is in a huge slump. They are hitting .180 as a team and only slugging like .250. Hard to bet on those bats. Even in Hernandez pitches a CG, the Mets may not can score 1 run.

I for one can't stand Atlanta as they underacheive for the level of talent that they have on that squad. I see that they have all of the advatages again in this game, that is EXACTLY why I am leaving them the f*ck alone... I like two dogs and 1 favorite today, and I want all the crumbs involved with taking them.

Cubs+100 HEAVY Zambrano is the better money pitcher AND hitter
Cubs-1.5+150 RRL Cubs haven't won by 2 runs in 6 games-they are due
Phillies+127 Moyer should not be dog to Tallet despite the recent form
Phillies-1.5 +180 The hits come in bunches with this team
D-Backs-1.5 +155 It's rare for outdoor teams to sweep indoor teams

Palmer's record (6-1) is fluffed. His WHIP is 1.94 over his last three appearances. The Angels bats have cooled off enough for the D-Backs to be on the same field with them. Scherzer is the real thing. The D-Backs are due for a 2 run win (4 games without one). Might as well make it happen today.

The Phillies collected so many its yesterday that I hav to ride with them today, plain and simple. Moyer the soft tosser is a crafty veteran and a good money pitcher when the team needs him to be. The Phils need wins, plain and simple. Moyer gives them one today north of the border.

The Cubs will dismantle the Pales today. These are evenly matched teams and the Cubs owe the Pales a black eye after yesterday's late inning meltdown. This time they get the led and don't give it up.

He was a great pick up for the Red Birds as he can play many positions and will be valuable in the event that the Red Birds have a few injuries. He's just one of those guys that is a necessary variable. The kid that they traded him for is supposed to be pretty good young pitching prospect. Of course the Wahoos can use any pitching help that they can in their minor league system

Yeah I agree he's a great fit for the Cards. I'm just hoping this Perez kid can deliver. Wood needs to be replaced.

I like this play today CK.... I watch them streaks and I have found that when a team goes on a losing streak and the streak is broken and the team does not respond with a win in next game (win two in a row)... once they get their next win, the probability that they will get a second win in a row is strong.... The same thing happened with the Rockies (but in reverse). they went on long win streak...lost ... started a new winning streak, lost again and in form, lost two in a row...
                          GL bro!

I actually like the Phillies to hit two more homers than the Jays, but I played them both for the same amount so I really couldn't say. Both need wins badly, the D-Backs a little more. The D-Backs should win by two runs with ease in this game because there are a lot of factors working in their favor. Because Moyer is a soft tosser and if his location isn't correct, he can get blasted, I would say that i like the D-backs a little more

The kid Miller is in good form, but the Rays are hot as shit! I can't say either way on that one. The Marlins should be able to avoid a sweep, right?

Both need wins badly, the D-Backs a little more. The D-Backs should win by two runs with ease in this game because there are a lot of factors working in their favor. Because Moyer is a soft tosser and if his location isn't correct, he can get blasted, I would say that i like the D-backs a little more
Cool thanks, I actually ended up taking the phillies with the early start time so hopefully their sluggers will come through. GL today fellas!
