Only concern I have is cards kinda have a habit of not doing shit vs pitchers they havnt seen and there isn’t much a book on yet which obviously the case w Fried going for atl. That and not thrilled w ump were my only 2 gripes tho and think the good more than offsets the bad here. Cards lineup stacked tonight w righties that prefer hitting southpaws. Fried basically a 2-3 pitch pitcher with only one offering (the fastball) being effective, his walk rate and hr rate both way high which plays right into cards hands. On top of that his hard contact rate is insanely high and he sporting one of lowest soft contact rates I’ve ever seen, it hot as fukk here so ball should be flying! I have no doubt they hit a few bombs off him just gotta hope they not the solo variety we like so much! Lol.. also don’t see fried being able to go more than 5 which leaves a lot of a braves pen that been springing leaks of late!
Cards gonna have to score in bunches to have a shot here imo. Weaver has really regressed after that stellar debut last season. He only has like 3 or 4 quality starts all season and several of those came in April! He hasn’t made it thru 6 once this month and his hard contact rate is 10 points higher than last season. Don’t see him being able to navagate his way thru this braves lineup without getting dinged up some. Our pen has really came together despite the blip last night but I think braves will have done some damage before they get involved. Absolutely think both teams score 4 minimum so over 9 at even money seems pretty strong to me. Even considered 9.5 at +125 but didn’t want to get greedy. Gl tonight.
