I really wanna lay it on Philly. Richmond is 0-3 with a 5.06 ERA while giving up 32 hits in 30 innings over his last 7. The Jays have won only once in the last 7 games that Richmond has pitched.
Moyer meanwhile is fairing quite nicely his last three starts: 0 walks in his last 19 innings.
Also of note, 3 pitchers lost today:
Jays today lost Halladay DL
Jannsen DL
and Scott Downs (closer) DL
Huge blow to confidence, not to mention that the Jays are now without a closer. Who's gonna close, BJ?
I'll probably hold off but there is no way that the Jays are stealing the first two on the road from last year's MLB champs. Especially after an extra-innings loss, Philly will storm back unless Richmond pitches a gem.
Update: Jays already on the board lol. What do I know!?

Should have booked them last night because the number has moved on me this morning. Oh well, only lost about 6 cents.
I'm reeeeeaaallly tempted to take the Nats tonight too. Gonna show some restraint though and lay off. I like the Rays too, but again I'm going to hold off of that one. Cook has been good lately. I'm just gonna stick with this one play today.
GL all!

Dex, I hope you're right on ATL tonight. Just don't be surprised if Owings throws a 4 hitter or something ridiculous like that. He just always seems to step it up vs ATL.

From Wiki:
Owings was having an uneventful season in the major leagues in 2007, until his return to the state of Georgia to face the Atlanta Braves on August 18, 2007. In front of more than 48,000 fans, he pitched 7.0 innings, allowing three hits and three earned runs, striking out seven. However, it was his batting performance that made it a career night. Owings went 4 for 5 at the plate, including two home runs, scoring four times, and knocking in six runs.[4] He is the first pitcher with four hits, four runs and six RBI in the same game. The last pitcher in the Major Leagues to record four hits and four runs was Danny Jackson in 1988. Owings' 11 total bases are the most by a pitcher in the last 50 seasons.

He obviously hasn't been as good as his start of the season. Thats just fact.
Anyways.. Did the Rays just get robbed of a HR? I'm watching the gamecast and looks as so..

of course - johan santana has also regressed after his awesome start. it happens to most all pitchers at some point during the season. greinke has proven that he is a legit ace. hes flown under the radar in kc, but go take a look at his career numbers as a starter. his only bad year was his second season when most pitchers do regress for whatever reason - plus he was dealing with emotional issues then took the next season off.
point being - dont write him off. use this mini slump to potentially find some better value on him in the right spot.

Michael Bourn.. smh. First he bunts into a fielders choice then gets caught stealing second.. Of course Keppinger promptly sends a single into center field.. Bottom 9 now..

Why the f%#k did MIL leave McClung in to finish the 9th instead of bringing in Hoffman... Then they bring Hoffman in after 3 batters get on... I swear if they blow a 4-run lead...

I swear one play of mine starts go wrong EVERY play starts go wrong. The Dodgers seem to be trying to NOT score runs.. Left the bases loaded.. Kemp thrown at home.. Rajai Davis HR makes it 2-0..
Cleveland puts up a 4 spot in the bottom of the 9th..
Is it possible the Rockies blow a 2 run lead in the bottom of the 9th?

Yeah it just makes you really wonder what managers are thinking sometimes. I saw it coming the second they put Hoffman in. What was about to become a very profitable night now might not
