Nice Orioles hit yesterday. So nice I had to do it twice. The kid Uehara has exceptional stuff and has not been rewarded with wins to match. He will pick up a win in this one which I predict will be a slugfest with the "Hot Wood" award going to the Orioles winning by three. Teams that have a long losing streak and then finally snap it usually win another one. Break out the brooms. The O's may sweep this team. They have the superior bats.

As I stated on Dexters' thread yesterday, the Royals should be favored in this game because of all the intangibles. The Cardinals are flying high on a good win streak, and this game on paper looks like a celebration in waiting. Hochevar for his part is putrid, but he is on limited pitch count anyway, so I don't expect him to last too long anyway. He does have good stuff as evidenced by his AAA numbers, and he is in line for a correction in this game. At least the Cardinals hitters have never seen his pitching before. So by the time they get it figured out, the Royals may be up by 3 runs, because Lohse is a home run waiting to happen. Jose Guillen is tearing the stuffing off the ball. Betta not be anybody on when he comes up. Lohse is throwing grapefruits. C'mon, man. A guy with a era of almost 5 does not deserve to be anything more than a -110 pitcher
Royals+140 HEAVY
Royals-1.5 RRL No line yet
Now that Lackey has gotten past all of the bullshit he is thumbs up to be the warhorse that he is. Matter of fact he can be ridden for the rest of the season. He's that good. The Dodgers have no business being favored in this game.
Angels+115
As I am typing this, the Giants and the Mariners are going to extra innings, but anyway, I love Cain. He is a battling S.O.B. I say that he keeps the G-Men in the game. The Giants are one of those teams that you have to watch out for in interleague play. They have the look and smell of a chicken dinner. I'm rubbing my hands together thinking of this one.
Giants +110 HEAVY
The total of the day goes to the Oakland A's and Arizona D-Backs. Neither one of these teams really have any offense to speak of and Haren is the real thing. He pounds the zone and his ball is described as heavy. I see this game as a 4-2 game. The total came out at 8 and a whopping 89% of the public jumped on the over for this game. Then the line dropped to 7.5 with only the precious few 11% on the under like me. This is a night game and the coliseum is not a home run haven even when it's sunny, let alone at night. There is a lot of foul ground and the air out here today is thick and overcast.
A's/D-Backs under 7.5 HEAVY
