shoe, I see the Pirates at +170 now. I don't get why Wellemeyer is -200. Since when did he deserve a line like that? Ohlendorf has pitched pretty well this year and he did only give up 2 runs in 7 innings vs the Cards in his first start this year. I'm on the same side as you. GL with your plays, shoe.

All over the Pirates as well. And Haren. Like those two early games a lot actually. And of course LAD (-1) later. Lightening up the load on the Dodgers though. I think tomorrow is the night they get taken. But I'm riding for free still and I'll keep rolling till they make me get off.

Haven't capped any night games yet.

Oh yeah, SF team total under 4.5. Don't forget that one guys. Paid again tonight. I'm betting 1 unit on it until it loses two in a row.

What do you think about the A's tomorrow CK? They've opened as a home dog with Cahill on the mound against McCarthey (not a very good pitcher). I think they're due for a win especially after the close loss tonight...and Cahill is one of their moderately reliable pitchers right now. Anybody with me?

Hey boys, long time reader of all your threads CK.

You boys should take a look at the Team Total for the Jays, they are tearing the cover off the ball right now. I know that Weaver is a good pitcher at home but right now team total is set at 4 at even money, I think its a steal. With Weaver ERA at 3.13 and the Jays are average 6.5 runs over their last 10 games, I think they can get a few off Weaver and then a few more off the pen, Angels pen has looked like shit this year.

What do you guys think?

I was also eyeballing the Snakes last night with a short line for Haren. Couple of things have me a little gun shy at the moment.

1. Lot of early money coming in on ARI but line holding steady at -120 (Down to -115 at 5 Dimes)
2. Arizona is on a 7-18 skid on the road datig back to LY.

Guess I will watch the line movements all morning and make a decision.

I am eyeballing the OVER in Milwaukee @ Cincy. Rematch of Looper/Owings from 4/15 where the Brewers won 9-3. FWIW, my logic:

-Neither of these pitchers are known to go deep into games and Cincy pen has been taxed lately, working 15 IP in last 3 games.
-Owings can hit like a mofo.
-Brew Crew bats hot on current 4 game winning streak.
-Brandon Phillips appears to be heating up after dismal start.

You're okay now chucksmith. Arizona is -125 and -130 on some books. It's a sound play. Haren don't play. This is a game for 3rd place in the NL West. Both teams are sorry as hell, I swear, but the better pitcher will prevail today and win just their second (although it's only a two gamer)series this year. They actually have the opportunity to get well when they get home asthe Nats are coming up. With a win today they can ride that momentum into the series with the Nats, which I have been eyeballing. Th Nats don't stand a chance in that series as the games will be played indoors and in unfamiliar surroundings for the Nats. I look for the D-Backs to win at least 3 out of their next 4 games.

yes, i see where the price is going up on ARI. I will play them now and will keep an eye out on that series price vs the Nats

Waiting on team totals for Oak/Tex. Not sure if i will troll for crumbs or not yet in StLou/Pitt. Agree with The Kid, Wellmeyer should never be this stout of a favorite. In researching, he is another guy that doesnt eat up innings. Is St Lou bullpen stout?

The board liked Buerhle a lot last night before the game was ppd. With an extra day rest for some of the CWS hitters that were dinged up to get healthy (Fields, Dye), I am surprised I am not hearing more about this play again.

FLA -108. Jurrgens has been solid this year but I believe the fish will hit him today just as they did last year when they faced him 3 times and batted .333 against him while giving him a 7.80 era.

Yeah I'm gonna lay off of him this time. He has had Cain's number outperforming him in their past matchups, but Colorado is a strange team and although they scored some runs over their past few days, I will still handle them with kid gloves. I liked the Haren matchup a little more than that one.

Ted Lilly has been rock solid once again for the Cubs this season, and he's in a pretty good spot to grab a road win this evening. Russ Ortiz is on the hill for Houston, and he just can't keep surviving the constant jams he puts himself in with his lousy control. Ortiz has issued 17 BB in only 19 IP, and he ought to be getting crushed with that ratio. I can't see Ortiz's luck holding out again and I'll look for the Cubs and Lilly to collect another win tonight for 8 units.
