#388Not sure if I saw it on this thread, but someone posted a link to a nice site that laid out the betting statistics for each side, as in, how much money was being wagered on each side. Does anyone know what I'm talking about, or what do you guys use to check betting stats besides scoresandodds / vegas insider / covers?Comment -

THOUGHTS
The good: Wow. Mets hit Bet D. Three straight losses to what seemed like an easily surmountable team did not turn out that way until Thor brought some order. But, even then, he let up 2ER in 6IP and it was Blevins who got the win (who let up a run in his lone inning as well). Mets offense came to life finally scored more than their last three games combined. Of course, I didn't have time to put in my Mets bet and won nothing. The only good thing was that I bet COL the first two games and then bet Mets live at Bet C so I ended up just losing from one bet level. Mets ML yesterday was also around -190 to -200 so it was definitely a pricey bet to lay.
In any event, the system continues to chug on even if it did hit its first Bet D all season, both official and unofficial.
The bad: With the Bet D, we are likely entering a more volatile time for the Sweeps System. imotiv8 has informed me that mid-August is when the system should likely not be followed. I will keep track until the end of the last scheduled series as a public service. I feel like I have benefitted from the system and thus I will continue on and try to give back in this way.
Please bet at your own risk and if you do plan on continuing on with the system, it may be wise to lessen your risk per unit when betting System picks.
The pending: Rays on deck for an Unofficial Bet A.
Prices below observed at 11:59 AM ET:
- TB ML -128 Bookmaker/Betonline (Opened -120 Bookmaker/Betonline)
Royals are the worst road team so I already like this series without even looking at the pitching matchup. However, we probably should take a look at the duel. Chris Archer (TB) faced KC on 6/1 and lost 3-6 with a line of 6IP, 4ER, 2BB, 4K. Danny Duffy (KC) pitched against Archer that same game and did a little better: 6IP, 3ER, 0BB, 6K. Duffy is also coming off a six game winning streak including two after the All-Star Break. Archer has been pitching well the last couple in allowing only three runs total in both games.
The Royals are coming off four straight losses and 2-8 last 10. The Rays are almost the opposite with four straight wins last four and 6-4 last 10.
If you see any series missing or have any suggestions for me please let me know. Also, if you have any commentary or thoughts on what you think about the pitching matchups, how the teams are doing, or if you know of any good handicappers (from SBR or otherwise) who are on or fading these teams, please chime in! I compare the system picks to others all the time. I still tend to follow the system picks but it's always helpful to know who else is on what.
Good luck on your bets tonight!

THOUGHTS
The good: If the Rays' series was Official then tonight's game would've qualified as a V2 Bet A, but since it is outside the RPI margin threshold I don't think it qualifies. However, since it is only a few RPI points outside of the threshold, just know that tonight's bet is a little bit stronger than a normal Unofficial Bet B. How much stronger? Well, that's just up to you, your bankroll and how big your balls are.
The bad: Never want to see a loss at any level but here we go.
The pending: Rays on deck for an Unofficial Bet B and an Unofficial V2 Bet A. Not sure if I'll keep track of Unofficial V2 or V3 bets.
COL matching up tonight against LAD, too. Rocks get to play at home which is always a great thing when betting on them. Their offense is just worlds apart from who they are on the road. Feel good about it.

EDIT
Liking both bets even more after seeing some nice threads on both plays:
For TB,
http://www.sportsbookreview.com/foru...th-august.html - Check the team Google doc link. It has TB as an unofficial "play."
For COL,
http://www.sportsbookreview.com/foru...b-tuesday.html - E'erybody knows 44Mag. Results speak for themselves.
I think I saw some more stuff for both teams but I can't find easily at the moment. Will try to update if I can later.Last edited by thekoreanmang; 08-02-16, 05:52 PM.Comment -

THOUGHTS
The good: Rockies took Unofficial Bet A from the Dodgers easy. I almost want to bet them again tonight because they're a different team at home and they've been playing well as of late, including taking three out of four games from the Mets most recently (which also made us sweats the Mets series that we just bet on).
The bad: Rays lose Unofficial Bet B even though were up 2-1 at one point. Sucks.
The pending: Rays on deck for an Unofficial Bet C and an Unofficial V2 Bet B. Not sure if I'll keep track of Unofficial V2 or V3 bets.
Odorizzi is a good pitcher so I feel confident about the Rays tonight. I said that last night, too, but hey, third time's the charm? Maybe?
Keep in mind that this is a four game series so if Rays lose here, we go on to Bet D.

THOUGHTS
The good: Rays came through for us on Unofficial Bet C. What a relief!
The bad: Took us all the way to the third bet in the series to cash in our latest Unofficial series. System certainly seems to be getting more volatile. Don't think that means you can just blindly fade the first one or two bets either though even if it is an Unofficial series. I guess it'd be good to compare and contrast to your own handicapping and other people you follow.
It's August 5th today. Technically, the system should be stopped at some point soon. Maybe in the next week or two. Be careful as we have a lot of series coming up with three anew starting today.
The pending: I would write something longer for all of our pending series today because I typically like to look at least a little bit below the surface to give you guys some nuggets to nibble on before placing your bets, but I'm rushing to get out of here for a church family retreat. Wanted to at least update this before I had to leave. If I have time, I'll try to update this post with some more info on the matchups, otherwise feel free to post your observations below. It would be much appreciated!

THOUGHTS
The good: System hasn't seen a failure in a while. It's still chugging along as we head into the middle of August. I guess that would officially be at the end of this week. We've got three Official series on deck to keep things going. Let's hope that things stay smooth.
The bad: Three series on one day is a bit more risky than I would like but I guess that just means make sure you have enough in your roll to absorb losses and enough to bet on in the series. At this point of the season, many are contemplating whether or not to stop betting altogether and take their profits (and wait for NFL. Haha.). Be wary but at the same time if you like the matchups that are pending, by all means, add to the war chest.
The pending: Obviously, the seemingly strongest series on the board is the Jays home against the Rays. Doesn't get better than a 40 point RPI margin. However, tonight's matchup is a tale of two pitchers. Dickey (TOR) isn't quite the pitcher he once was when he was with the Mets. Last two outings against TB was back in April and May. He went 1-1, 11 IP, 7 ER, 3 BB, 9 K. Not such confident numbers. Odorizzi (TB) is hasn't let up a run in his last three outings (20.2 IP). He's faced TOR three times in April and May. He went 2-1, 17.2 IP, 4 ER, 8 BB, 18 K. It'll be hard to back the Jays against such numbers.
In the ATL vs MIL series, neither pitcher has faced the other team. Whalen (ATL) is a minor league call-up and has only pitched one game thus far. Not really great stuff at all though he did win (5 IP, 4 ER, 4 BB, 5K). Davies (MIL) has pitched pretty well this season. Last 5 outings has produced a 4-1 record, 31.3 IP, 7 ER, 6 BB, 21 K. Again, it'll be hard to back ATL against such strong numbers against them.
Fulmer (DET) has faced SEA once which he won with a line of 4.1 IP, 1 ER, 1 BB, 3 K. Not sure why he had such a short game considering he had a strong outing against SEA up to that point. Fulmer has also pitched well in his last handful of outings. In fact, in the last seven games he's pitched, his team has won all seven and DET has gone 10-1 in his last eleven outings. Iwakuma (SEA) pitched against DET once this season with disastrous results (loss, 4.2 IP, 5 ER, 3 BB, 5 K). Iwakuma has pitched well as of late but in his last six outings he's given up four runs twice. But, he's faced BOS, TOR, HOU and KC in those last six outings, as well, and he's pitched well against them (4-0, 26.3 IP, 3 ER, 7 BB, 24 K). Which Iwakuma will show up tonight?

THOUGHTS
The good: Wow! Well, that was easy! Doesn't get better than when three series all win on Bet A. That's now six straight Bet A winners whether Official or Unofficial. Amazing! And, to think, that all of last night's series seemed risky due to the pitching matchups not in our favor. Basically, don't listen to anything I say. When it seems like it's not going to win, it wins and vice versa. Thus, is sports betting.
I'm excited to see how much longer this can last. Earlier in the season, I posted a summary of the system's performance from '12 to '14. I couldn't find anything for '15. If anyone can find this please post!
2014
Official season series record 25-0 (V1)
(A) 18-7
(B) 4-3
(C) 3-0
(D) 0-0
V2 plays 1-3
V3 system 7-1
Unofficial series 59-1
(A) 37-23
(B) 15-8
(C) 7-1
(D) 0-1
2013 Official season series record 27-1 (V1)
(A) 20-8
(B) 5-3
(C) 2-1
(D) 0-0
V2 plays 2-3
V3 system 7-2
Unofficial series 66-3
(A) 38-31
(B) 14-17
(C) 14-3
(D) 0-1
V2 plays 9-8
2012 Official season series record 27-2 (v1)
(A) 15-14
(B) 5-9
(C) 5-4
(D) 2-0
V2 plays 3-7
V3 system 15-4
Unofficial series 85-7
(A) 56-36
(B) 22-14
(C) 7-7
(D) 0-1
V2 plays 10-10
V3 plays 5-7
Based on past results, it looks like we're already well past the success of the Official series. However, we are far short of the wins that past Unofficial series have produced. It also looks like the V2 system is not very good but the V3 is for the Official series.
The bad: N/A
The pending: We're off until 8/11. No V2 or V3 bets were triggered last night.

THOUGHTS
The good: Gotta love it when you only have to bet one Official Series and the team you're betting is ranked first for RPI. The margin is looking nice and to be able to bet on the first place team ranked by RPI is a rare occurrence. We also have Lester pitching for the Cubs which is always a good thing. Martinez for the Cards has also been good this season so this could be a pitcher's duel, but I like our chances this series.
The bad: N/A
The pending: Cubs ML babay. We got three new series tomorrow.

THOUGHTS
The good: Cubbies get our 7th straight Bet A win (both Official and Unofficial series) and 8th overall Bet A win this month. So much for August volatility!
The bad: However, I don't see us getting another sweep of Bet A winners tonight. The Yanks seem like the best bet for a Bet A winner but the other two series feature matchups against the #2 and #3 RPI-ranked teams. Will be very tough.
Not to mention, the Braves are the worst RPI-ranked team and are facing Strasburg. The Tigers aren't as bad as the Braves but they are facing
Darvish at home where Texas is 3rd in MLB for overall home record. Combine that with their #2 RPI ranking and you have a tough game to bet on.
The pending: Quick note about the NYY +1.5 bet: NYY opened as plus money dogs but has now moved to minus ML dogs. The betting trends suggest that NYY might become a ML favorite by gametime. If that is the case, the Bet A will be graded as a ML bet. However, I am putting NYY +1.5 as the official bet for now. Currently, BetOnline has both NYY ML and TB ML at -105, but yet consider the Yanks as underdogs by giving them the +1.5 runs. BookMaker has NYY at -104 and TB at -106 and does a similar thing with the +1.5 runs to the Yanks.
I'm not sure how I'll bet tonight if at all on these teams. I've said that exactly one week ago and all three teams swept despite the seemingly less than favorable matchups for all of the teams. Maybe today will be more of the same?
Prices observed at 9:50 AM ET:
- NYY +1.5 (-170 BookMaker/BetOnline)
- ATL +1.5 (+110 BookMaker/+105 BetOnline)
- DET +1.5 (-120 BookMaker/BetOnline)

THOUGHTS
The good: Picked up two more Bet A wins for a total of 9 straight Bet A wins and 10 for this month (12 total series so far for August). The system is gaining momentum as we head into the dog days of summer which is unusual. Typically, most systems and cappers faced some adversity during this team due to weather changes at this point of the summer, player movement around the league, changing motivations of players as playoff races get more clear and other variables present at this time of the season. I guess we just gotta roll with what is working right now and press on.
V3 Bet A has been triggered in the ATL vs WSH series.
The bad: The Tigers ended our streak of consecutive Bet A wins but no matter as we head into Bet B tonight.
The pending: Lit's git it! Boyd vs Hamel tonight! Should be a good one! As for the Nats/Braves series, all I know is both pitchers only started two games with Lopez being the slightly worse of the two. Gotta trust in the system here I guess. Steep ML advantage for the Nats despite no identifiable pitching advantage for either team.
Prices observed at 10:42 AM ET:

- WSH ML (-174 BookMaker/-164 BetOnline)

THOUGHTS
The good: The Sweeps System picks up another two wins at the Unofficial Bet B level and at the V3 Bet A level. Wins are becoming a lot more normal this month which is just crazy. I think the Detroit series is the only one where we saw a Bet B this month. Really good stuff.
The bad: N/A
The pending: This upcoming week will be a true test for the System because I believe we're supposed to stop betting by 8/15. Excited to see what the System will do. Everyone please be careful in betting the System starting tomorrow. I mean, if we all win, great. But, if we all lose, then at least a reduced unit size won't eat up too much of our profits.
If you see any series missing or have any suggestions for me please let me know. THOUGHTS
The good: The Sweeps System has been very strong this month. Only two bets have gone past Bet A in both the Official and Unofficial series. There have been 10 Bet A wins and 11 Bet A wins if you count the V3 Bet A win by WSH recently.
The bad: Will success continue? Will volatility hit now that we're officially at the midway point of the month? We're supposed to not bet now but I said I'd keep track until season's end so let's see how it does.
The pending: Yanks and Reds on deck for us. Not as confident about the Yanks' series because they're facing a #4 ranked RPI and away team. Jays are good. But, if there's anything this system has shown me is that even when all odds are against you, you can still win. You can do it. Sounds inspiring but this is sports betting so it really isn't. Haha.
Prices observed at 11:56 AM ET:

The good: Yanks won even though they had a reliever starting.
The bad: Three other series lost including the one we didn't have on the board yesterday because we weren't aware of the series until after it had gone off. Fortunately, for us that series was a Bet A loser so a little less money lost.
The pending: Three Bet Bs tonight.

THOUGHTS
The good: Got our Bet B wins for the Mets and Reds. System keeps winning. Also, I missed CWS Bet A and since it was a loss we get lucky and get to bet on Bet B without Bet A's losses (although I bet CWS due to following some other SBR thread).
The bad: N/A
The pending: One Unofficial Bet B on deck for tonight.
Prices observed at 9:18 AM ET:
- CWS (-XXX BetOnline/ -XXX BookMaker)
If you see any series missing or have any suggestions for me please let me know. Also, if you have any commentary or thoughts on what you think about the pitching matchups, how the teams are doing, or if you know of any good handicappers (from SBR or otherwise) who are on or fading these teams, please chime in! I compare the system picks to others all the time. I still tend to follow the system picks but it's always helpful to know who else is on what.
Good luck on your bets tonight!

THOUGHTS
The good: Got our Bet B win for CWS. I actually forgot to place the bet and luckily I got on CWS ML live at +275 and again at +350. Risked a little to get a lot. The bet was graded at CWS +1.5 because they ended up being underdogs (Sorry for not updating the prices. Had stupid work. Haha.) but I just took the ML. The game ended up being really good with runs all over the place so there were several moments to get on it live.
The bad: N/A
The pending: Two Official Bet As on deck for tonight. Not everyday we get to bet on superior teams like BOS and BAL. Just look at their RPI rankings and their rankings as away and home teams. There's not much to fear especially when we're betting on teams with a positive RPI margin against their opponents.
We have two more bets tomorrow on weaker teams so those will likely be Unofficial series.
Prices observed at 10:48 AM ET:
- BOS +1.5 (-163 BetOnline/-160 BookMaker); BOS ML (+121 BetOnline/+120 BookMaker)
- BAL ML (-129 BetOnline/-126 BookMaker)

#419If it's a ML dog then you bet +1.5. If it's a ML favorite you just bet the ML. The bet for BOS series was on the +1.5 so they won last night. I bet the ML too. Most of the times I bet both but I thought the ML was going to win. Bad on me. Won BAL ML though so evened out.Comment -
