    Vegas Limits
Hey guys this is my first trip to Vegas and I'm planning on staying at and playing at the Wynn. I was thinking about making a $5000 wager on an upcoming football game and was wondering if the Wynn would take a bet this "large"? If not do you guys know any casinos that would? I read online that some Vegas casinos have low limits for newer players...thoughts? Thanks!

Depends on the game. If it's preseason or some small NCAA cfb game then probably not. You could easily split it up though among 2 books with ease I'm sure. What do I know though I've only dealt with online books.

No I'm asking seriously. 2 weeks ago I would have thought the same thing but as my trip got closer I was reading articles online that said that a lot of books cap wagers at 3-5k

I've seen many sportsbooks take bets from $5 to $30000. Like the guy said above if you come in and try to lay $20000 on a MAC game, they might "call a manager". It really does depend on the event but you shouldn't get capped at 5k.

So I spoke with the credit manager at the Wynn and she told me that if I bring a cashiers check, only 20% (or so she thinks) can be used at the sportsbook. Can anyone confirm this?
