There were a lot of guys who already were on it before the pick was announced. So salute to those who had a bead on the game, I saw that CS11787 (I think that's the correct number) and a few others where spot on that play. Good work gentlemen. ironically, that would have been a walkoff by zimm if the nats hadn't committed 3 errors... oh well, inherent risk of betting on perrenial losers

Is it really possible to have 3 errors in a MLB game by the same team? Man they suck defensivly

As much as I loved this matchup, I have a longstanding mistrust of Ted Lilly on the mound from his TOR days. Nice call!

                        copied from sundays thread...

billingsley looked solid in his first start, and i expect much of the same vs the weak hitting giants offense. bills was dominant at home last year vs the giants tossing a CG/SO. RJ counters for SF, but he cant be counted on for more then 5 or 6inn.

                        -dodgers -150

love the early line movement as the brewers have gone from a -130 to -145 favorite already, as the sharps have sided with Gallardo. YG in 2 career starts vs the Reds has an era/whip of 1.32/1.17 and looked great in his first start. Volquez in 3 career starts vs the brewers has a 5.09/1.48 including a 5inn/4er performance at milw last year. he had an extremely poor/wild first start, and milw isnt the place to get right with Braun, Fielder etc looming.

                        -brewers -140 (big - 2x)

the redsox have come out of the box slow, and dropped 2 of 3 in LA. This line screams value to me, as Lester should bounce back vs a weak oakland lineup.

                        -redsox -140

Carmona allows too many baserunners by giving up wallks. It's apparent that his problems from last year spilled over into this year

                                          tue-

the yankees are getting blowed out tonight, and i expect them to bounce back tomorrow after this embarrassing performance. burnett has always been solid vs the rays with a career 2.98/1.05 era whip, and his last 6 starts at TB have all resulted in earned runs of 3 or less each game. garza has a career 5.00/1.48 against ny.

                                          -yankees (ML)

fade the rookies for my next 2 plays:

john danks matches up with the young phenom rick porcello on tue. porcello is one of the best pitching prospects in the game, but is no doubt not ready yet at the tender age of 20. the tigers are known for letting their young arms get the experience at the big level, and porcello was not sharp in his first game. the whitesox are 5-1 vs the tigers in games started by danks. give me the whitesox ace at a nice price.

                                          -whitesox (ML)

what can be said about chris carpenter. always one of my favorite pitchers for his bulldog like approach on the mound. he works fast, and keeps the pitch count down thus ending lots of games on his own. hes coming off of major arm surgery, but his preseason + start 1 resemble the carpenter of old. the cards look great early on, and i'll fade the young (but super talented) scherzer in this spot. hes had a rough spring dealing with shoulder issues, and was not sharp in his last tuneup walking 5 in 4inn. he may not be healthy yet.

                                          -cards (RL)

*size of bets to follow later after tonights results.
