Thank You Ethan & Sammy for the nice words! Loved the card today, as all 5 plays actually were very close to 5% bankroll plays, but didn't quite qualify, plus, I didn't really like having 25% of my bankroll out in one day.

5-0 on the day for +$5973. YTD now 40-30 and +$14,539, with the bankroll now at $54,539. Using good money management is key!

I'll be back on Monday by 1:00pm PST with the card.

what's your reasoning behind picking the brewers and braves today? im in no way doubting you as you have proven success and I also tail you, just curious as to why you think the braves will beat fernandez on the road, jose k'd 14 braves like a week ago, the braves only have 3 RBI'S on jose in his career.....just wondering, once again appreciate you posting your picks

Sorry, I've been away for a few days. My dad had shoulder surgery and I was caring for him, plus I am trying to get a business of the ground, so I officially have passed since 4/17.

Last play was on the White Sox on 4/16, which if I recall correctly, we blew the lead in the Top of the 9th and then lost in the 14th Inning.

YTD Record

25-22 +$3,414. You can read the start of this thread, but I started the season with a $40k bankroll. Most plays are 2.5% of my bankroll and I will adjust it everyday. On occasion, I play a game for 5% of my bankroll.

For any favorite with a line -120 or greater, I don't let my bookmaker control my risk; therefore I risk my flat bet for the comeback.

Charlie Leesman has pitched very well in AAA and had a great spring. Look, I know it's not the same as facing the Detroit Tigers, but Detroit is only hitting .241 against LH pitching while the White Sox are hitting .273 against RH Pitching. Joe Public will be all over Detroit (especially RL) so bottom line there is some value here. I'll take my chances getting more than 2:1 with a live dog!

What made you change it up? I'm surprised to see you change your personal betting standards so quickly when dealing with a dedicated bankroll.

I can only speak for myself and preface this by saying, I have been successful in baseball for years. I may go 0-4 tonight, so my thoughts are the recipe for success over a season not for tonight. If your looking for winners tonight, then don't tail me. If you're looking to be plus money at the end of the season, then follow along!

I really look for line value in a game. With the Braves, I'll argue that Alex Wood is every bit the pitcher if not better than Fernandez. Joe Public likes Fernandez but Wood has a WHIP of .65 and an ERA of 1.64 on the Road while the Marlins overall hit LH pitching at .232 clip and in the last 5 games they're hitting .152. Braves have won 4 in a row and are a much better team than the Marlins. Only down fall on this is the Braves are on the road, but I don't think it matters,I handicap to the Braves to win this game 58% of time and getting +112 is enough for me to pull the trigger every single time.

The Brewers have the best record in baseball with Lohse on the hill. Lohse has pitched extremely well this year and the Breweres hit RH pitching decent enough to get me to take them on the road. Also, the Brewers are 10-1 on the road this year and you're going to give me +$135? Shit, again, might not win tonight, but I handicap to win this game 50% of time and getting +135 is a winning long-term investment.

Also, I'm not being a dickhead in this comment, but the point you made about the Braves game is exactly what every Joe Public Square Player is thinking so they will bet into the bookmaker's heavy sided line. Not me, I'll play this game blind just because of this thinking.

Now wondering, if I should add more on the Braves? I won't because I am too disciplined!

Well, I would take the Braves every single time in this exact same situation. The value was on the Braves and over the long-run it will be a winning play. It wasn't tonight obviously and it wasn't even close, but all it would take is for the Braves to win 47.2% of the games @ +112 to break even and with Wood Pitching and Braves having a better overall Team, I am confident that would win 50%-55% of the time.

Either way, I'll take 3-1.

In baseball, my normal play is 2.5% of my daily bankroll. I adjust my bankroll every day. On occasion, I will have a 5% play, which thus far, I think I am 3-1 on.

The biggest difference for me is, on favorites above -110, I don't let the bookmaker control my risk, I control it by betting a flat amount for the comeback.

Example, the Reds last night were a -135 favorite. Most people, would risk $135 to win $100 allowing the bookmaker to control your risk. Any favorite above -110, I am risking $100 for the comeback or in this case, risking $100 to win $74.

Hope that makes sense.
