I'm really starting to like today's card. Actually worries me that I'm liking it this much. Got the wifey's work summer outing today so won't be able to watch much today. When my cards this big usually better when I don't pay attention.
you're probably right, there was a pretty big move already. i'm starting to warm to your idea of going Garza FF RL rather than FF ML, thinking of parlaying that with Phils ML (pays +222). i'm already eating enough juice and have a lot of plays.

have fun at outing. agree that sometimes it's most social not to pay attention to a big card when other things are going on. not easy to do, but sometimes it's the way to go for the sake of domestic bliss and such.

Good luck Biff, on Giants- favorite buy of the day. Also lean Mia, but don't like that Haren has a 4.00 Fip.

He’s also coming off a solid start (5 IP, 7 K, 3.19 xFIP) upon his return from a short-term stint on the DL. I don't know why I'm telling you this just thinking out loud.

i hear you on Haren - i mean, how long can he be THIS bad? that said, he's so bad and i remember watching the Fish hit him hard in his start there in April. also really like Fernandez and the Fish lineup is so much better now with Stanton and Morrison back (not good, mind you - just not historically awful). other than the fact that i wish i'd waited and gotten -115, i like it. BOL today IB.

                          initial observations

                          - Weather and it being Sunday generally would lend themselves to a Grand Salami under. However, we have a lot of over-leaning umps (Holbrook, T Welke, Porter, Nauert) and only one solid under guy (Kulpa).
                          - Reds/Braves game would appear to be only game with significant chance of being affected by rain.
                          - White Sox and Phils have to be exhausted, just not certain how to use that angle at first look
                          - teams trying to avoid being swept: Royals, Nats, Mets, Brewers, Padres
                          - lean Tribe and under again, maybe FF under here

think so? Iwakuma has dominated them in the five prior meetings. i will admit that i might be a bit biased in that i don't have much respect for the Angels. part of my angle here is expecting them to be the type of team that is looking ahead to the break and already on mental cruise control. based on the line move, you may well be right. Be careful today w/ the Big Red Machine. They ain't hitting right now. Tehran has the stuff to shut'em down. Those triple A players had 7 hits last night. I could see braves winning 2-1/3-2 type game.

Okay, officially calling it a season with the All-Star Break so that I can begin college football prep in earnest and take a nice long break. The season didn't go as well as I would have liked but won't complain about winning 20u and posting my third consecutive positive season on the bases. BOL to all the rest of the way, and a sincere thanks to everyone for stopping by to add your voice to the discussion. It was a lot of fun and I am hopeful that some of the more difficult lessons learned will make next season even better.

                                                            Hey Biff,

Congrats on the ++ season. I was late getting started and never got traction. Looking forward to the NCAA thread and hopefully I'll be able to chip in with some NFL teasers.

BOL and enjoy the break. Hopefully not as humid in Ohio as it is in NE.
