It's that time of year for the great game of baseball.! I will be doing one more thread.(my 4th) For you guys that know me it will be biz. as usual. For you newer guys I should point out two things #1- That I am a conservative handicapper and # 2 - Last season I was 19 games under .500 and down -24 unitsI bet a very large % of underdogs if I bet a fav. will not lay much more than -150. As a matter of fact over the last 3 season's it could be counted on one hand the times that I layed -150 or more. When it comes to totals will not bet more than -125. I do a fair amount of reverses and a few parlays. Have been betting for a very long time, which does not mean that I am any good, but what I tell you newer guys that in sports betting it is almost impossible to win 57 % or more of your games in the long run.! So power weighting is a must. For me it's between 1-6 units. With 1 unit = 2 % of my roll, so that on any given day when I really like a game I am not putting to risk much more than 12 % of my bankroll. There is never any rush to make money or a rush to recoup losses. For on any day when there is a full slate of games there is more than 200 + ways in which to bet baseball. So the market will provide one many opportunities to make money or give you" enough rope to hang yourself". I do not believe in get well games, bail out games or locks. I will try to update records on a daily basis and do write-ups on games when time allows. I look forward to hearing from you guys about ideas, info., and esp. anglesbut none of this JR. High bickering bullshit.! I am sure I forgot a few things and will post them as I remember. Hope everyone has a good season and makes money.! And as always feel free to tail, fade or do nothing............................gl

#10Was reviewing last season's thread and found out I made a mistake on the 1st post of this thread. Being the computer dinosaur that I am,could not figure out how to edit the post.! Last season I was down -26 units not -24. The 3 season cumulative numbers stand as follows : 24 games under .500 and up + 126 units..........glComment -

#19hey CT, just wondering if you can shed some light on how you cap spring training games? to be honest, i like the indians to win here as well, but can't find ANY supporting details to back this gut feeling. any advice is much appreciated!Comment -

#20Masterson,named opening day pitcher will hopefully do well. After that it's Joe Smith and Cody Allen and a few others. I guess most importantly starter Richard for SD has not pitched that well. The Tribe are on top of just about every offensive #'s in MLB this spring,so look for them to get off to a good start today. Also SD needs to look at may pitchers today maybe 10 guys, so that even if the Tribe are down late in game they should get some oppty. to come back............hope this helps.............glComment -

#22It'll get easier once the season is underway and pitchers are using their best stuff. Very hard to cap all of the intagibles in spring training. You'll get it backComment -

#26Hey buddy!! Back at them again this season. It's funny after several years here I regard you as an old, and unknown friend?Anyhoo I am looking forward to swapping ideas and thoughts again this season. A tad rough in the pre-season, but after last year you were due, if you catch my drift. Just getting back on my feet after surgery, but am contemplating have a personal thread if I think I am up to the daily grind. We'll see. Have a great season and I'll be checking in pretty much daily as always.
Though I never do bet big favs and it is definitely square, I'm very lightly on Texas tonight.Comment -
