hey guys I know this is the MLB 2013 JM thread started by hag....but didn't think anyone mind me posting this data about the JM NBA plays specifically since we just had our last play last night and we won....in case they weren't posting this data in that thread Heres the data for JM's NBA Finals plays only I think these type of plays it seems historically thus far from my research has paid off But here goes: 2013 - A Bet Loss/B Bet Win (no pts needed to buy) 2012 - A Bet Win (needed at 2 pts to win) 2011 - A Bet Win (Pushed or needed at least 1 pt to win) 2010 - A Bet Win (no pts needed) 2009 - A Bet Win (no pts needed) 2008 - A Bet Win (no pts needed) 2007 - A Bet Win (no pts needed) I couldn't go back any further due to the site I was using but I think most would see that so far you don't need to buy 3pts and possibly maybe if you just wanna bet it straight up without chasing if this makes sense......if anyone knows where I can go look at lines from 2006 and beyond let me know I will do the research

Seattle was definitely not -20.56 units but thanks to covers extremely accurate lines, I will record it as such.

Only expecting one more loss through july but then again the early loss in may was unprecedented...especially when you look at how the 4 game chase lost

Here's the running total so far this year. Also notice on the V1 and V3 losses I put the units lost on those 2 series based on the closing lines at vegasinsider. Just figure that against winning one unit per series and that will give you your total win/loss units to date. Also note if you are playing V2 that you should add one extra unit for the win. If we get a V2 series loss I'll show it both ways.

Hi Hagball, I know you play the RL on all plays so I was wondering if it makes a huge difference playing that way? Like are there just a few more losses or a lot more losses that way?

There are more losses but I think you come out ahead most of the time. It varies from year to year. So far this year we have had 3 run line wins where all the other series either won on the money line or eventually won on the money line. I have it all posted in my running tally. Also you can go back and look at last years recap in post #27 and it has all of the results for 2012. I just refuse to play high juice plays on chase bets. Back in 2010 there was a series with the Cubs and Pirates where the Cubs were over -200 favorites in all 3 games and it went to a (C) bet. On that 3rd game you would have had about $2,500 out just to win $100. They eventually won by 1 run but I just shook my head after that series and said to myself never ever will I do that again. Generally I always play the run line on dogs but I also handicap every series and every game so I may change my mind from time to time but not very often.

As far as I know, yes.

But be aware there are very few plays and one loss can put the whole season in the red.

No. I had SFO on the moneyline. The only time I consider playing runline on favorites is if they are over -200 favorites. I did cash my ticket last night and looking at possibly coming back and playing the Giants again today, maybe parlay them with the Braves for just a small amount. I've also gone 5-0 on my last NBA bets during the playoffs. Have had a good run the past 2 weeks. It's about time lol.

Washington lost in OT by 10. The B Bet will be on the 21st along with an A Bet on Seattle
