The Oklahoma City Thunder need to win against the Dallas Mavericks to keep their season alive, and we're offering our top Shai Gilgeous-Alexander odds and player props based on the best NBA odds for today's game.

In a series featuring two MVP runner-ups, the Oklahoma City Thunder and Dallas Mavericks have each dropped at least one home game. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will aim to continue this pattern in Game 6 on Saturday at American Airlines Center in Dallas, with tipoff set for 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

The Thunder enter as 3.5-point road underdogs and have seen their NBA championship odds plummet after a 104-92 loss in Game 5, putting them down 3-2 in the series. Facing elimination, Oklahoma City will need Gilgeous-Alexander to demonstrate why he was a top contender by the 2024 NBA Finals MVP odds.

Along with our Thunder vs. Mavericks player props, here are our best Shai Gilgeous-Alexander odds and player props, and NBA picks for Saturday (odds via our best NBA betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander odds, prop bet predictions Game 6

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Over 31.5 points ⭐⭐⭐

Gilgeous-Alexander is getting more usage against the Mavericks than a running back in the 1970s. He's averaging 41 minutes per game, 23 field-goal attempts, and 8.2 free throws in the series while putting up 31.4 points.

I expect Gilgeous-Alexander to continue putting the team on his back with the Thunder's season on the line. He's topped 31.5 points in two of his last four games and is more than capable of exposing a flimsy Mavericks defense. Dallas allowed the 11th-most points per matchup in 2023-24 (115.6) and the team has been struggling to slow SGA from behind the arc. He's shooting 46.7% from deep in the series, up from 35.3% during the season.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Over 13.5 rebounds + assists ⭐⭐⭐

In the film "Friday Night Lights," Boobie Miles' uncle says about his nephew that he can "block, tackle, score the touchdown, snap the ball, and kick the extra point." That's basically what the Thunder are asking Gilgeous-Alexander to do in this series.

With Oklahoma City's youth showing on offense, SGA has needed to do it all to keep the Thunder in this series. Not only is he the leading scorer, but Gilgeous-Alexander is putting up the most rebounds (9.0) and assists (7.2) per game for OKC. Gilgeous-Alexander has topped 13.5 combined rebounds and assists in four of five games.

With odds that imply a 55.56% probability he hits the Over on Saturday, I prefer betting this prop and his point total separately rather than taking the Over on his 45.5 points, rebounds, and assists line. A $10 bet on this prop pays out $18.

Best odds: -125 via Betway

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Over 1.5 steals ⭐⭐⭐

With more energy than an adolescent after consuming their first energy drink, Gilgeous-Alexander is everywhere on both ends of the court. His non-stop hustle has led to plenty of disruption defensively, with him averaging 3.8 combined steals and blocks against Dallas.

The Canadian finished second in the NBA during 2023-24 in steals per game (2.0) and has picked up Over 1.5 in each of his last two contests against the Mavericks. He's notched two-plus steals four times across SGA's previous eight postseason outings, and this is a Dallas team that finished in the back half of the league in steals allowed (7.4).

The -118 odds imply a 54.13% probability he finishes with at least two steals and a $10 bet pays out $18.47 on a winning ticket.

Best odds: -118 via Betway
