Not worried about it. Go to the contest thread. I don't think I had Aza either way so I'm sure you'll sort it out. I grade the day after the Men's end. Have a discrepancy - bring it up in the appropriate thread.

tried that already. anyway, hopefully YOU WILL sort it out, not me....

I think Murray will not win anything big this year, cause there is one Rafa Nadal who im sure is quite mad about what happened here in Wimbledon and he will be back in Oly and US Open to unleash the monster himself

Now we kind of have to cheer for him, no? He just made himself so accessible for every tennis fan - much more so than any other male has lately. How can you not hope for that guy? It's not his fault he was born in the era of Fed, Nadal and Djoko. Maybe if he'd been born 5yrs later he'd be that guy. Not sure but I'm going for him again.

Hint: I work Monday to Friday 5pm to 11pm Australian Eastern Standard Time. Time converter is handy!! If I'm not working, although I'm sure your queries are important they'll have to wait those couple of hrs until I log in again and see the thread. (Big shocker: I don't give a rat's ass about a tennis contest when I have a quiet wknd with my son even if you're worrying about pts... it'll all get sorted out in the end)

well, my appologies for acting a bit rusty.... sure everyone has his/her time to spend somehow, somewhere...

but as the contest host (or whatever), you acted too self-defensed in this situation....

anyway, hope this weekend ended good for you ... and.... 6 hours per day ??!!? you Australians are lucky hampsters waht else is to be said

You guys want Andy to win the Olympics? And feel sorry for him?

It's like cheering for the snotty private boys school kiddies, losing is the only thing that reminds them they still take a dump like the rest of us.

Thank god we have Fed, Joker and Nadal to beat Murray and show the world what being a class athlete is.

there's a difference between a winner and easy $$$. You act like neither final was ever in doubt.

Federer/Murray was a toss-up pick'em at the books after the first set.

Serena dropped the second set of her match.

I know in the past, he's rubbed people the wrong way with how he's dealt with the big losses on the big stages ... but I've seen a change in his behavior since Lendl took over. I've always liked him personally as a player. For me, he's easy to root for because he's the underdog ... always in the Grand Slams and it's human nature (for me at least) at points to root for a guy who gets into position to win and falls chronically short.

There are bigger assholes on tour than Murray past & present. Ryan Harrison comes straight to mind. John McEnroe was a total tool in his day, but there weren't that many people who actually liked to root against McEnroe despite his antics. Roddick has been an off and on dick his whole career.

I think as shari said, he won over some people with his post-match speech. Murray in the past might have just chosen to avoid that situation altogether ... but he showed some adult cahones by pulling himself together enough to say what he said.

Also very classy from Federer to console him and apparently crack a joke to take some of the stress off Murray. Saw Murray laugh a bit at whatever Roger said.

With Ivan the great in his corner Murray has become a lot more palatable, and yes a bit of the human side being shown was good to see.

Actions speak louder than words however, and you can see in the way Murray acts on court that he's still just a petulant teenager inside, maybe it'll change as he gets older, I doubt it. I guess I can't blame him, he's been conditioned by a domineering mother - that always ends up screwing people up in the head.

I think tennis has been extraordinarily lucky to have 3 fine statesmen in Fed/Joker/Nadal, other sports would be very jealous to have them as figure heads ... I'd personally find it unfortunate if Murray ever started to beat these guys consistently in the big stage; but he's still probably good for the game overall - every sport needs it nemesis.
